We recently set out to finish our basement - it’s a small area, so the project wasn’t very big - we ended up with a laundry room, a full size bathroom, a small office, a small storage space, and a small living space. When we were looking for a company to work with, we wanted someone local and preferably not a large corporate business. One of our first three choices for quotes was Von Companies and it quickly became our preferred choice.

Von Companies was a great group of people to work with every step of the way. They were responsive from the very beginning and didn’t treat our small project like it wasn’t a priority. We had two other companies come out for quotes - one of which was another small, local company and the other was a larger, local company. Neither were as responsive, nor did they seem to care about our budget and timeline.

The choice was easy with Von Companies, they were upfront about pricing, timing, and made us feel comfortable about moving forward with our project. They instantly made us feel like we were part of their family. We had similar interactions with each contractor that Von Companies worked with was well.

Our basement was finished within our time frame, slightly above budget (but that was my fault - I made a few changes along the way), and looks better than we could have imagined.

We contracted with Von Companies in February 2020 to remodel our 1950’s St Louis Park rambler. The project included the complete gutting of the home and replacement of all utilities, drywall, flooring, and fixtures. From the beginning, the contractor was ahead of schedule, starting demo a few days early and ultimately moving us back into our home 5 weeks early. We appreciated the ease of access to our project team, which included Tom (the owner), Griffin (the jack of all trades), and Jake (the project manager), who were never more than a phone call away. Like any construction project, there were bumps in the road along the way, but we were extremely impressed by the responsiveness and ownership the team would take to get things rectified immediately. We hired Von Companies for a modern remodel of our townhome. We worked with Tom and Griffin and they were extremely knowledgeable in guiding us through the process from start to finish. They were able to connect us with local vendors to select our remodel designs and details. They gave us a realistic timeline of the project and were able to meet our desired move in date.
