I have put off writing this review in hopes that things would just clear themselves up. I must say that I would advise against buying a car that is outside of your state of residence. đŤ There are just things that can go awry. That decision is totally on ME. I found a Jeep that I wanted and reached out to this dealership. The only used Jeeps I could find around my town were so loaded that I couldn't afford them. Kaylee was (and still is) so wonderful, helpful, and patient. If she was local to me, I wouldn't buy from anyone else. đ Financing has been difficult and not because I don't have good credit. I didn't get the warm fuzzies from the FI guy (not saying I should... he was, well... an FI guy). I wanted to add my tax, tags and title into the amount financed and was told that ($1,000) would throw my loan into another (higher) interest rate. Weird, but okay. Apparently financing tax, tags, and title isn't a thing in OK. And he was right: I didn't do any research on buying a vehicle in Oklahoma (facts). TouchĂŠ.
I bought a premium extended warranty and wish they had offered some info on that. But, I can do the research. It just would have been nice - even a pamphlet. But it's fine.
So, I left after a deal was made. An hour into my 9 hour drive home, I took it back, ready to leave it because of a strange sound coming from what sounded like the windshield/radio. Kaylee and I took it back out, and (thankfully) she heard it, too. Then, the service manager and his amazing tech went out and figured the problem! YAY! He was super nice, too! The issue was that I couldn't stay to get it fixed because I had to show up to teach school the next day (that was a crazy-long day!). He told me that wherever I got it fixed, they would pay any balance that wasn't covered by warranty. I'm still waiting on that $200 that came out of my pocket. It's fine - I believe he will make good on that.
The real kicker is that I set up my new loan to be automatically drafted out of my checking account (just like my old one). The bank was great and very helpful (PNC) in helping me do that. UNFORTUNATELY, my old loan has stayed active, and now I have paid double car notes! YIKES!!! đł My old payment went through as normal AND SO DID MY NEW ONE! đ đ¸đ¸đ¸
I contacted the FI guy and Kaylee about this, and Kaylee responded, letting me know that the payoff that was sent to the original lender never cleared their bank. đ She said they cancelled that check and resubmitted another one. I wonder a couple of things. Obvi, FI man was not a fan of me. That's fine. I didn't go to make friends. But seems like getting the registration packet on the VERY LAST POSSIBLE DAY ("3-4 weeks") as well as my initial loan not being paid off in a timely manner might be... less than coincidental? I don't know. Maybe it was all just by chance. Hard to say. If I hadn't seen that, I wonder when they would have? I don't know. It was a very strange financial adventure. My advice is to walk into a dealership with your own financing.
So I posted this review initially on September 5th. The purchase date was 7/29. The afternoon that I posted it, the GM from the dealership called and left me a message that he had read my review and wanted to discuss. I responded by email (and took down the review) to explain that I was teaching and proceeded to communicate in an email. No response. Then I sent a second. No response. I actually told him what I needed... NO RESPONSE.
Now itâs 9/9, and I am reposting. Please Mr. GM, I donât want a phone call. I can take an email. I have explained that I need the original lender paid off. I would like the exact amount of the payment yall sent to the original lender. I would also like the $200 that I was told I would be reimbursed for the already-damaged-windshield issue (I have that in writing).
This is more than an inconvenience, and I need it all taken care of promptly. I donât think anything I am asking for is unreasonable.
SIX WEEKS...
Read moreAs far as I can tell they are honest and trustworthy. They did NOT switch prices or tag on extra charges or fees to the price of the car I got on the phone- price I paid remained the same as on their web page. And after driving and studying the car I can not detect any flaws or detail they changed or did not mention.
On the other hand it took 16 days for them to mail me the title to the car. I am not sure if this is a normal time period in Oklahoma or if it is I suppose I should change the rating to 4.75 stars. The man who settled the car details with me in his office did not seem amused with my stories about Myanmar and the Christians there who put a cross tattoo on the web of their hand. He needs to learn ingratiating used car salesman smoothness where the customer is always his best friend.
I liked the knowledgeable young lass car seller who drove with me in the car for the test drive too- of course as a gentleman I did nothing untoward with her - but I personally do not think young ladies should be in cars with strange men unless they are black belts in jujitsu. I hope no blackguard reads this review and goes there just to try and be handsy- maybe she can wear a clip on shirt pocket can of mace joggers favor.
Also I canât give 5 stars because they only had one key fob and I had to go and buy a spare for hundreds of dollars. A proactive car dealer would realize everyone needs a spare keyfob and make an extra before selling it.
When I do want another Turbo charged car I will likely go back and test ride it with the charming Miss. K. agian there- but of course if she gets another job I probably wonât.
EDIT- I paid the FULL Amount when I bought the car. However, later on when I was trying to get the title the government officer wrote me I did NOT own the car in a letter. I had to correct this with the Dealership by having them email me a company letterhead document that showed the car was paid in full. This problem was NOT my fault but entirely the fault of the dealership (how could it be my fault- I paid in full). Therefore, I have edited this because it caused me a lot of stress. On the other hand, it only took me a day or so to fix it. But it NEVER should have been a problem. Other than that the dealership was fine. But I would NOT assure you that the dealership is going to give over ownership of the car at once- as they or some other entity had a lean on it- according to the government officer- until I got a letter from the dealership saying I owned it. I should also add they did not tell me there was a lean on the car- so they are either sloppy and ignorant or perhaps false and holding onto ownership of the car so they can legally retake it back later due to the lean. In one case they are bad at their job- in the other case they are dishonest. Due to this there is no way I will go back to these guys again- I do not wish them ill. but they definitely need to review their...
Read moreThis will be a long but honest review if you are considering buying a vehicle from this dealer. They are all liers and canât keep their word from the salesmen all the way to the GM
My wife and I traveled from AR to buy a 21 Challenger which is a 8 hour round trip. The process was long and grueling with how badly they were unorganized and it continues to be this way 5 weeks later. They have $500 of our cash held up cause they refuse to send it back and making us wait to send it with the title. Was told the title should be to us in 3 weeks and we were okay with this and could swing that kind of money a few weeks. That did not happen so I called them and was literally being tossed around with no answers until I finally left a review and the GM called and so called figured it all out and said the title and our refund will be to us in a week or less. Shame on me I took his word and me being old school I have old school values where a manâs word is all he has and that will tell you a lot about a person. I agreed to remove the negative review and kept my word. Now that week has came and gone and nothing. Contacted the GM and here come more excuses rolling in and Iâm irritated at this point cause he said 1 more week and nothing. Now weâre 5 weeks in and still no title or refund and Iâm back leaving another review. We needed our money back before we have to pay interest on our CC we used for the down payment. Well statement has came and gone. We were able to pay off all but $500 and now forced to pay interest on it. Now as far as their mechanics go they need help. I would not trust them with a vehicle or any sort of inspection. They provided a carfax and it shows all the work they done and one of those was replace the front tie rods. They absolutely did not. I ended up having to take our car to the shop due to front end noise that popped up shortly after buying the car and took it to the shop and was told the tie rods need replaced. I told him no way cause I just bought this car and carfax showed they had been replaced by this dealer. The tech offered to raise our car on the lift and let us see for ourselves and sure enough old rusted and loose tie rods with no grease. I confronted the GM about this as thatâs fraudulent to put something on carfax and it was not done. He said he knew the tech for 15 years and never had a issue like that and told me if I wanted to make the 8 hour trip and let them look and their was a honest mistake made they will fix it. Well No Iâm not driving 8 hours and using $100 + in fuel when the repair only cost $116 at my local shop. Needless to say this has been a living nightmare dealing with these guys and I do not suggest buying a vehicle here especially if your driving...
