This place has endless potential but will continually take from the employees to cover expenses. From skipping sample weeks, to increasing the costs of benefits, switching your schedule and hours around for no reason because people don’t stay longer than a month. It took having a gun pulled in the store twice to even have the start of construction of the new entrance wall and get security. Even after getting security we would show up randomly to no security in the building because “the contract fell through again they ask too much”. Not to mention inventory is a joke, running out of continuously sold items every week, sometimes not having a single item in an entire category to sell. The tip out system is split by whoever is working for the entire day, including managers! So you made $200 that morning and it was dead the rest of the day? You better be happy with that $200 turning into 20-30$ so lucid can keep every employee at minimum wage and use your tips to supplement income! I never received a raise I was promised, they track attendance on an arbitrary point system like elementary school. I don’t understand how a company with 7 stores nation wide cannot afford to pay their own employees correctly. Managers are referred to as “shift leads” so they can claim your tips, and will sit in the back and watch movies to collect your money! I loved my job, I loved my co workers, getting to sell people weed for a living is fun, yet lucid somehow will find a way to strip all of the fun out selling weed week by week until you realize your getting paid 1/4th of what you could be making at any other shop. Do not support greed, do not support lucid.

BTW Commencement bay green is less then 10 minutes away from lucid and has the same weed for sale at almost half the price with an even larger selection. You like Gabriel? At lucid it’s 48$ and eighth non discountable, at commencement it is 28$. Every. Single. Day. I was looking for CBD that had a very high ratio. I stopped into this establishment since it is fairly close to my home. 1st visit was the best. The last time I went in would be my last time. I was the only customer, it was approx 11:15pm. The gentleman at the door was very friendly. I located the products I had in question, I stood patiently waiting at the locked cabinet for a little over 10 minutes and kept attempting to get the attention of the employees that were approximately 4 feet from me, talking about the upcoming weekend and other personal things they were doing, several times an employee would glance at me but in no way assist me or even say hi, be right with you, nothing!i. Finally I walked over to the group and asked if I could get some help. I had a few questions about the merchandise that I was looking at. I asked the guy that helped after being asked, he couldn’t answer the question and yelled over to one of the guys standing in the group, that guy was very rude and said how am I supposed to know. I just said I’ll call someplace to get answers or I’ll research it myself online. The guy rang me up for my $100 purchase. Never thanked me for stopping in, never said have a nice evening, absolutely nothing other than “here ya go” handed me a paper bag and out the door I went. Unfortunately, this place has to be the slowest dispensary I’ve ever been to. I go all the time so I have a good idea of their service and staff. Most times, it’s an okay experience but it seems like they are constantly understaffed. A few of the employees can also be pretty rude. Their selection is the worst part. They are usually out of stock of what I want. Recently, their joint selection has been terrible. I only go here because it’s a mile away but commencement bay is the next closest and better in pretty much every way. Better prices, better service, and consistent inventory. I shouldn’t be leaving empty handed anytime I go to a dispensary. Hoping management sees this and does better. I’m very surprised with how high the review score is.

Edit one year later: Nothing has changed except for maybe they have more discounts now. Just went in and wasn't given many options in edibles. Seems like they are always out or only have one option. Also didn't ask what kind of strain. Just a bummer considering everything is still more expensive compared to commencement bay, and 112th. Another review mentioned how they can coast by off being in downtown Puyallup. But as someone who's a mile away, I probably go here 1/5 times. Which is significantly lower compared to a year ago.
