Was very dissatisfied with my visit today to aquire a Ref/Freezer. First I was told it would be delivered in 4 days (a requirement) then I had the price change on me in regards to the 12 month no interest. Next I was told a credit check would be required after being told at first that it wouldn't be as I paid off the Living Room and Family Room sets of furniture a month early in Feb. The Credit Check is no problem for me except for two things. First, I told them that I only have Credit Checks ran when I am actually purchasing something .... in this case, something to be delivered Friday. (today is Monday). Next, they ran a HARD Credit check on me anyway, and after approval I was told that the item would not be in until next Tuesday, with delivery on Wednesday. Not acceptable!! The employee, Tameka helped me for over an hour looking at & trying out different sofas & recliners. My reason for mediocre rating was a problem I had with the manager. I was buying a coffee table & 2 end tables, hubby was going to buy the sofa & love seat, but wasn't with me that day. Of course, it's my fault for not reading the whole contract before signing it. She financed my items for 24 months & my hubby's for 12 or 18 months. She asked if I wanted delivery..never telling me it was a $79.99 fee. And also adding a $99.99 fee for 2 yr extended warranty w/o asking me. Hubby & I discussed these contracts & decided to just get a coffee table & the sofa. I was told I was approved for merchandise but do to the fact I was an employee they needed corporate approval. After being up for delivery then no one showing up then being told I am not approved then they went back to saying I'm approved. I quit my job. I was not getting an employee discount and was paying public prices. It shouldn't matter if I was an employee or not. That's wrong to make a person go through that It's very personal. That's their fault they lost a sale. After I quit they sent a regular non manager employee to my house to find out why I was not at work. That was after I told the store manager I am done and I didn't want to hear anymore about it and I clocked out.
