7-2-2020 Been going here for a long time. Loved shopping here and have been for a long time now. Like most of the people you have working here. But... Going to the deli the past couple of times about 6 months ago and had to wait awhile as this lady was ordering a lot and only one working? Then someone came out to help me and the one with blonde hair in a pony tail and cap was looking at me funny while helping someone else. Then the next time she was helping someone else and the same thing happened. Don't know what's up with that as she waited on me before. 🤔 Wasn't very nice that I had to wait so long because she didn't want to wait on me and stayed in the back. Didn't know she started discriminating now. Not very nice at all! And I don't want her helping me at all period!!! 😠 She was okay when I got something 3 wks ago. Went there 2 weeks ago and a young man was waiting by the chicken as I. The lady came over and helped him but took a younger boys order before me, even though I said that I was there first! But was ignored. He said he didn't see me there? But at least apologized. Was very rude and usually they ask "who's next," but she didn't. I was very upset as many times as I've gone there! 😣😓👎
Another time when checking out, Katie kept saying that this was on sale and you can only get these many items and kept repeating on each sale item I got! Like I wasn't doing it right. Was so annoying and unnecessary. Won't be using her to check out ever again. Remembered her from St. Luke's and St. Rita's. 😠 Never had a problem with this before and hope to never again.
Haven't been to Spring St. store since, but only to get turkey 2 weeks ago as the Erie St. didn't have it. First time I was told about a franchise vs. ? Sorry can't remember what...
Read moreThis store is close so it is very convenient for me. I even changed my bank to the one in the store for even more convenience. However, numerous times over the last 7 years that I have lived here, I have gone in to pick up just a couple items and one item is not on the shelf... I am not going to wait in line at 2 stores to get what I need so I put back what I have and don't buy anything and go to Aldi (not as close, but always have what I am looking for). This is getting to be a more common occurrence . I like this store a lot and it is close, but all that means nothing if I have to go somewhere else to get what you fail to keep on the shelf. And as far as the convenience of the bank, there is another bank in the area even closer to me than the Pig. Unfortunately, they don't have a grocery store. This is my only complaint, the store is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and prices and quality are good.
UPDATE: I have not experienced my above complaint since I wrote this. I added a star. Also, for even more convenience, the Racine Hometown Pharmacy is right next door. It is a 5 star friendly pharmacy! Bank, shop and get your meds...
Read moreThere are many Piggly Wiggly stores in the Racine area but this one is one of the cleanest and best run stores of the lot. There is a good selection of typical groceries but not so much with organic or hard to find items. That said, the meat department is very well run and knowing the manager personally, I can attest to the fact that the meat is of good quality and beats the selection and quality of other grocery stores. The owner and head assistant store manager are both named Dave and both are very pleasant, helpful individuals. If your experience is anything less than expected simply speak to one of the "Daves" and they will make it right. Customer service is of the utmost importance and I've witnessed them personally giving out gift cards as a way apologizing to upset yet still polite customers. If you're on the North Side of Racine and looking for groceries or liquor or sundry items stop in and...
