TLDR: The management and staff is so helpful and responsive, maintenance is great, the apartment was so clean. I absolutely love it here.
I was moving from out-of-state and was not able to tour before signing, and I'm very type A, so I went through ~200 apartment complexes across Raleigh trying to make the best decision I could. I compared apartments.com reviews, yelp reviews, google reviews, crime map data, you name it, it was on my spreadsheet.
I worked with Delicia, and she was so responsive and so helpful. She answered all my questions, sent me pictures of the actual unit so I could see exactly what I was getting, she gave me contacts for utilities, worked with me on planning how to handle my U-Pack container being delivered and unloaded, and the list goes on. When I arrived, they walked me through everything and we went to the apartment and they even give you a little plant and card welcoming you. I felt so welcomed.
If the management isn't enough to sell you, let me say this: this is easily the cleanest apartment I've ever moved into. As some added context, this complex has recently built brand new units, and they have newly renovated units -- I did not get either of these, I got the classic, and I expected it to feel a little old and dated because of all their improvements around the complex. Usually my expectations on move-in are the classic "landlord special" cleaning, so it's kinda clean, but you have to still come in and lysol everything, the cabinets are generally gross, walls need to be wiped down, floors needs a deep clean before you bring your stuff in, etc. Not this one. It smelled of fresh paint, and everything was ACTUALLY clean. The carpets feel clean (that's another one that's impressive!). I even came and stayed in a hotel the day before so I could arrive early on move-in day because I expected there would be a lot of cleaning needed before I started moving my stuff in. I am happy to say that was absolutely not the case. It immediately felt like the apartment had been cleaned well, painted, and reset for me to move in. This has not been my experience in the past.
The complex is several brick buildings with winding sidewalks and with the little dog waste bins scattered about so me and my pup have loved the walks. I'm a woman, and the area feels safe and clean, I don't feel like I have to be on high alert or avoid walking my dog at night or anything like that. I've been here a few days and have seen zero pests. None. And I'm DEATHLY AFRAID of roaches. And I haven't seen one. They have pest control come every Tuesday, and you can ask for more targeted or thorough treatment if you need it.
I rented a washer and dryer from them for the unit so I didn't have to move them across states, and they were delivered and set up on move-in day. The gentleman who installed them was very knowledgeable and kind, and took careful care not to bang things up as he moved them in. He also ran test cycles once he set them up and walked me through some do's and don'ts for the particular type they were. Altogether incredibly helpful.
I know this is long, but I'm leaving this to first, praise the staff and management for making what I expected to be a much more stressful move so much easier, and second, to hopefully help someone stressed and looking at Raleigh apartments and being worried about picking the wrong place. This is the place. I feel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I first moved here, I felt safe and secure. Things were handled beautifully, if anything ever came up, and I would go about my merry way.
Unfortunately, in the last several months, I've felt less and less safe here. There have been a rash of car break ins and thefts, but also violence among my neighbors. Aggression toward eachother, fights, unsafe actions, and ultimately have made me feel like I am not welcome to live safely as a single household person here. It's downright not safe, especially as a single woman.
There is also trash everywhere, smoking (of all kinds) is constant around the property, noise at all hours of the night from the street or the apartments and there is new construction, which seems to be a fun project, but the places are so close to 401, and the area is already pretty congested and the amount of noise is wild dueing the day (though I know the projects will be done soon enough)
I wish this would have remained the property I knew in 2022-the first half of 2023, but it is far from it. I am not renewing my lease for this summer and will be going elsewhere. (And yes all concerns have been taken to management already bust largely dismissed).
Please take my word of caution and do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have lived here for 5 years now. I have been very pleased with the staff, maintenance and neighbors. It is clean and well maintained, not a lot of noise issues and maintenance issues are routinely handled within two days. I am in a 2 bedroom/2 bath end unit and for the price, it is huge compared to others I have seen for the same price. I have only one issue-and it is a minor one-which is about the parking. I occasionally have problems finding a parking space at my building.
As a side note, when I received my notice to renew my lease, the renewal rate went up by $55/month. Although this was not unheard of (and it is well worth it), I went to the office to ask about it, as most every time I renewed, including prior complexes that I lived in, the rent never went up more than $35/month.
The person I spoke with said she would contact Corporate to see if they would negotiate the amount. To be honest, I really did not expect anything from that, and I informed them of my intention to renew regardless of the increase.
Turns out, I was WRONG. They not only called me back, but they indeed negotiated the lease and knocked off $15/month, so the increase was only $40/month. How's that...
