I am SO happy that I found Carole Kenney Design. While there were lots of things that caused me serious anxiety throughout the wedding planning process, my dress alterations were NOT one of them. I had called around several places before deciding to meet with Carole. The first place told me they did alterations on wedding dresses in a week, what? Are you serious? No that isn't right, I knew that my dress was going to need to be worked on over the course of several appointments! If I had gone with that place, my dress would have been a disaster! Another place told me that they were booked solid for four months, UGH. Thank goodness I called Carole just in time! She fit me in on a holiday weekend, the day before Fourth July, and from the first moment we met I knew I was in good hands!

Carole is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when it comest to getting that perfect "fits like a glove" fit for your wedding dress! My dress needed a LOT of work but Carole was more than up for the job! She gave me an estimate that day with low, medium and high ranges, and ended up below the highest number she gave me. No, she is not cheap! But she will get the job done right! There are lots of places to cut corners with budget when wedding planning but your dress alterations are not one of those places!

My dress had long sleeves that were too tight, a bodice that was too big, and to top it off my dress was so long I definitely would have been tripping over it all day. Carole got the bodice fitting just right so my waist looked small, and she put bra cups in so I didn't have to wear a bra (necessary since the back was open!) She also hemmed all bajillion layers of my dress so I could wear flats and not trip! She actually had to entirely reconstruct the sleeves on my dress so that I could hug people without ripping the dress! She also put in the most beautiful bustle! Carole is clearly very passionate about her work and that is exactly what you want!

Carole was great to work with, by the end of all of our appointments I was sad that she wasn't coming to our wedding because she played such an integral part!

She even took a last minute hemming job for my mom's dress TWO DAYS before the wedding, LIFE SAVER!!! I don't know what we would have done without her!

All in all, my dress came out fitting like a glove, as promised! I got so many compliments on how well it fit! Thank you Carole for making my dream dress fit...

I cannot express enough gratitude for the custom wedding gown Carole created. I felt like a princess, and I received countless compliments on how stunning and unique my gown was.

From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We worked together from the initial sketch all the way through the final fitting.

I have a large cup size, and one of my initial concerns was finding a design that included cleavage but minimized my cup size. Carole knew exactly how to craft my bodice to do that and put my concern at ease from our first meeting.

I had a vision for a dress with a low back, which can be difficult with such a large cup size. Carole knew exactly how to craft the straps and back of the dress to give me the look I was going for, but also provide comfort and support.

I could go on and on about all the amazing details, from finding the perfect fabrics to layer to make the back of my dress look like my skin tone, to sewing in a zipper that is invisible and works perfectly, to crafting a beautiful bustle that accounted for the fact that I was changing shoes from heals to sneakers after the ceremony.

Another amazing detail Carole added was beading from my grandmother’s wedding gown to the back of my dress! Her years of experience have given her the perfect eye for detail, knowing exactly where to place the beading to make it fit with the design of the dress.

Beyond the gown itself, working with Carole Kenney Design was an absolute pleasure. The entire operation is professional, responsive, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. She made me feel at ease, taking the stress out of finding the perfect dress.

Finding the perfect wedding dress is a major milestone, but finding the right seamstress to bring that dress to life is equally crucial. I was so lucky to find Carole, and I can confidently say she is an absolute gem!

For my dress Carole worked on alterations, bustle creation, and – most impressively – custom sleeve design. I had a very specific vision for my dress, which involved adding removable puff sleeves with delicate lace. After a long search, I finally found the perfect lace on Etsy, and Carole worked her magic to create the sleeves of my dreams! She also widened the straps to complement the new sleeves, and the final result was even better than I had imagined.

Beyond her technical skills, Carole is an absolute delight to work with. She is warm, friendly, and incredibly passionate about her craft. Each appointment felt like catching up with a dear friend, and I enjoyed getting to know her. She was also very communicative and flexible with scheduling, which was a huge help during the busy wedding planning process.

The fit of my dress was perfect, the bustle was exactly the voluminous "Bridgerton" style I was going for, and the custom sleeves were a showstopper. Carole's attention to detail and dedication exceeding my expectations!
