Disclaimer: This is going to be long, however it is worth bringing up the things I noticed, what would be the point otherwise? I have been to Magnum Range only a few times, since joining their membership (which is a steal as far as benefits go) I intend to go as often as my schedule permits based off a lot of factors; first being how truly kind the staff is. In today's society, it's unfortunate and sad honestly, but kind people are really hard to come by. I was raised with old school values and to always treat people how I want to be treated. Kindness goes really far with me. I will happily support this business based off that plus how much fun it is to be there among countless other qualities. The inside is very clean, well kept and you can see that safety is crucial to the staff and definitely have the safest protocols that I've seen with an indoor range, or range in general. I have never considered bringing my daughter (12 years old) to any range until I visited Magnum. I feel it's also important to mention, I enrolled into the firearms safety class with my 12 year old daughter and 18 year old son to participate in along with myself, to have the the basic knowledge and understanding of firearms and firearms safety. It's not just a common sense practice there were many things to learn even for me although I'm far from experienced I also would not say I am a beginner either. Carl led the class which kept mine and my kids' attention (that says something!) The most important and impressive thing to me was the patience and kindness Shannon and Carl demonstrated with my daughter whom had never even held a gun let alone shoot one. In fact, she was very nervous and a bit timid at the idea to even try it. With their guidance and assistance, as I stood back to let the professionals instruct her, my daughter did amazingly and even was able to load a .22 (which we rented from them) by herself, put the magazine in, rack it back aim and shoot the target! This was an accomplishment for her (and me) and now my daughter is even comfortable with shooting my 9mm and it definitely has a bit of recoil which didn't faze her. This NEVER would have happened anywhere else and without the help and expertise of Carl and Shannon. She has been asking to go back and I intend to make Magnum Range my home away from home as far as my go-to range is concerned. Keep up the amazing work Magnum, your passion shows in all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBe careful with Zack the thief, he will pretend to be your buddy and give u boxes of free ammo when nobody is around and all sorts of other items like T-shirts, hats, sweaters, knifes, ar15 parts etc. then make it act like your begging for free stuff and complain to the owner behind your back, couple months ago he sold me a bcm upper witch was $850 and he sold it to me for $600 witch I have receipts for, then he told me not to tell anyone that he hooked me up with a great deal on the AR, so once they found out they blamed me for begging witch I never do, they have to find any excuse to keep me away, but Zack himself would give me everything for free and why would u say no to free stuff donāt think anybody would when Zack is giving away free items, anyways now Iām not allowed to shoot my guns at this location due to them trying to make me look bad, when In reality zack should take full responsibility for what he has done, owner now claims that he does not like me coming from zacks mouth and telling me I need to find somewhere else to shoot or thereās gonna be problems, makes no sense cause the owner doesnāt even no me like that and the real story about this situation and does not want me around due to Zacks lies. Also I was a VIP member here and every time Iād come by to shoot I would spend $$$ and buy a lot of there over priced items they have displayed, then this happened, be carful who you think your buddy is but really aināt . Zack threw me under the bus and Iāll do the same as well, good luck when the owner finds out what u really did, I got so much free stuff I have from them thanks to Zack appreciate all the free items youāve given me Iāll be taking my money somewhere else customers service here sucks as well trust me I got a lot more to say about this place but Iāll stop here good luck with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur experience with this establishment was, in essence, marked by unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and a clear lack of proper training. The instructor, Robin, gave us a very brief talk and visual demonstration on the basics of firearm safety. The entire session lasted about 40 minutes and involved a fake firearm and an unloaded firearm at a desk.
We were asked to demonstrate how to properly hold the firearm, but we were never shown how to load or safely shoot the firearm under supervision to ensure we were handling it correctly. Robin assured us that the walls we would be shooting toward were bulletproof and that the facility was built to withstand live fire. However, once we were handed the bullets and firearm and chose a target, everything felt extremely rushed.
I did not feel comfortable entering the range. Instead of being guided or supervised further by the instructor, I found myself relying on my partner to debrief me on what we had just learned. Both my partner and I agreed that we did not want to go through with the session because we did not feel safe. While we had opened the bag of bullets, we did not fire any rounds on the range.
We asked Robin for a refund. He said he could only refund us for the firearm and training portion, not the bullets, since the bag had been opened. As a result, we lost $25 out of the $125 we paid.
Overall, the instruction felt rushed and lacked depth. I had been genuinely excited to learn about firearm safety as we are in the market to purchase one for our home. Unfortunately, this experience was a major disappointment, and we will not...
