On the 25th and 26th of June this year 2024 myself and someone who was with me, swam in the water and over the next few days to up to two weeks we both kept getting bites on our skin that itched. These bites are still itching after a month and some have left scars without scratching them. We tried to contact Raymond town hall several times but they never got back to us, Also I called WGME and told them about the situation. I also made my own poster and drove back out there and posted on June 30th to keep out of the water and warned a dozen people who were about to get into the water and just getting out of the water about what happened. I drive by yesterday and the town had time to take down my three signs however they couldn't spare time getting back to us about testing the water to prevent anyone else from getting 50+ bites on them or worse an allergic reaction or infection. There also is great parking and a boat launch. Did I mention how shallow it is for young kids! Beware of the ducks however if duck itch is a problem for you!
