Tehama Family Fitness Center — Local services in Red Bluff

When I first joined this gym approximately two years ago it wasn't bad. There wasn't a lot of people, you could get your workout done efficiently and it was a clean facility. Now, none of the rules that are posted are followed.

High school kids and adults bring in portable speakers or phones and play rap so loud I can hear it over my headphones.

Guys curse, and openly talk about steroid use in the weight area. Again, so loud I can hear them over my headphones.

The place is so crowded during prime time its almost impossible to get a decent workout in. Every time I come in I leave agitated.

The gym is run by one or two people at the front desk who never leave the front desk to make sure the gym is being ran appropriately. They are constantly on their phones instead of working. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the prices aren't bad and they keep the...

I am a swimmer. I joined this gym specifically because it boasts of having a swimming pool. The swimming pool in question is actually in a separate building which houses a physical therapy office. It is not part of the fitness center. It is a three lane pool 60 ft by 20 ft. The primary purpose is physical therapy, if you are a lap swimmer forget it. You will almost never have the opportunity to swim and will be turned away or derided by the senior citizens receiving physical therapy for splashing too much in the pool.

I will change this to a 5 star review when I find that the fitness center has severed ties with the swimming pool, or at least stopped advertising about it. The fitness center itself is well-equipped and the staff...

It's a nice friendly/family oriented gym. All of the employees and customers are extremely nice and treat you as family. They go above and beyond for making their customers feel comfortable as if they were family. The showers and bathrooms are always clean but the shower curtains are an issue to me. Let's just say when I shower there I leave feeling dirty because of the odors from the shower curtains. Hopefully they see this and can be more observant at scrubbing them down with bleach or replacing them more often. I know I'm not asking for an easy task but I have cut back on showering there because of this issue.
