To start I do not recommend this rock shop, especially for beginners! My wife and I went in yesterday just to learn and view some of the products as I was viewing through the glass of the jewelry. The owner was sitting behind the counter, eyeballing everyone. I nonchalantly decided to ask a question and started it by. I wish I wouldâve brought, a rock with me I wish someone could identify it for me. His answer was you havenât even bought anything and youâre already asking a favor. My reply was I havenât asked a favor and Iâm not done looking. He says you have asked a favor you asked my advice and havenât bought anything from me. It was , extremely rude and intimidating that I no longer wanted to some of his products were beautiful, but Iâm an amateur and when I go in a place like this, I feel that the owner should be knowledgeable and be able to answer questions. He was extremely rude. I did however, buy a couple of books from him which he rudely had to add his comments That I should be buying childrenâs books which the childrenâs book was very knowledgeable, but I felt that it was just a dig at me. I will never enter this shop again. I will however keep trying to learn more about rock, hounding and gems, but I will not seek his advice. He was rude unfriendly, and should not be in a public business , very unhappy with...
Read moreI was in town visiting with my family and walked in with my 16-year old niece. Nobody else was in there but I could see the owner in the back of the store. As soon as more people started coming in, he got up and slowly walked towards the front, towards the counter where I was. As he was walking towards me I expected a friendly welcome, at least a âhelloâ, and was ready to respond with a warm smile as well, because socially, thatâs what people normally do. But that didnât happen. He stopped about 2 feet in front of me and gestured a âget out of my wayâ shrug motion with his hands. Blank expression on his face. Apparently I was blocking him from walking behind the front counter. I stepped aside, still no sign of friendliness or anything⌠and then he just continued to stare at me and my niece the entire time we were in there. It felt very uncomfortable and we left after a few minutes. No need to spend my money in a place like that.
After we left the store I told my brother and he said he saw the guy watching us too. Just wow. It was weird. And after reading the other reviews, itâs...
Read moreI have given this small business my money multiple times and was always respectful and purchased multiple things. This is the last time I will go. I got my phone out to pay with Apple Pay because he had a tapping card device and he yelled âNO!â I looked at him and he yelled âNOOOâ and stared me down. I started tearing up and said nothing, I was so shocked. He said no tapping because it costs him money. My boyfriend got his card out and paid so we could leave. He threw the card back across the counter. Ew. Not one single person in the shop was making a purchase but me. This was my happy place that I took my brother and boyfriend to, bringing the owner more business. I do not understand treating returning, kind customers like that. Just close the shop if it makes you that miserable. Use your words. If it was a hangover, drink some propel or liquid IV. Have a...
