Dollar General — Local services in Redding

Certain people who work here are extremely unprofessional rude and they take it out on their customers. If you have a full cart they act irritated because you have too much stuff. But isn’t that their job? You would think they would be happy your buying a lot of stuff and keeping their store open so they can get a pay check. I’ve been going to this store for over two years now almost daily. They constantly have new checkers the couple people that are there regularly are nothing but rude. They don’t greet you. I’m nice to everyone. I always say thank you. I always greet them with a smile I always return my cart etc.. they are still rude. I’ve seen a checker literally yell at a older man that was hard of hearing that her line was open. I couldn’t believe how rude she was to this man. So unprofessional and rude. He wasn’t ignoring her on purpose he was obviously hard of hearing. After she starting yelling at him I turned to him and said hey sir she is trying to get your attention that she is open. These people need to learn what customer service means. Seriously just because your having a bad day or your just a miserable person in general doesn’t mean you need to take it out on the customers. Because at the end of the day the customers are the ones who keep the store open so you can keep getting paid. If this store wasn’t the only store close to my house I would have stopped going here a...

although I appreciate all the diverse product that this store offers the general public I do believe they display way too much product on the store shelves and floor at one time. The aisles are already very narrow and it's very overwhelming to be in the store at times because there is stuff everywhere.. This is not a reflection on Dollar general as a business but a point that needs to be made... I was irritated to watch two full grown African American men walking through the store eating a bag of chips acting as if they were trying to buy this that and other for somebody but they just kept walking up and down the side aisle just eating an open bag of chips. I left before they did I was given a feeling, placed upon my heart that they didn't pay for that bag of chips. Note to the unwise those who act with no integrity... do not be surprised when the consequences come falling down on top of you. You may not get caught while you're eating a bag of chips in the middle of a store or letting your child eat food that's not paid for which teaches them the wrong kind of ethic but God Almighty that created all things the One many people ignore sees all things open and secret. The scale always gets balanced. Please do the right thing because the One God Creator is always watching and He will remind us all on the inevitable day all...

Always check your receipt they over charge from what prices say on shelf. Regardless if your told the price wasn't change on shelf yet. They have to honor the price on shelf this is why this company has lawsuits against them. I agree with post about employees being unprofessional. I was overcharged and went back inside for refund. The girl at the register said, I don't do refunds and it's going to be a while because the other person who does refunds is busy. I asked her how long is it going to be because I have ice cream in my car. She looks at the employee stocking shelves and I said are you joking me you haven't even told her she's needed to do a refund. I said look she's not to busy to do her job giving me a refund because she's only stocking a shelf. Seriously no common sense on the employee at the register. Guess she wanted me to stand there and wait for her to finish stocking shelves before she was going to inform her a customer needs a refund...unbelievable NO COMMON SENSE IGNORANCE AT IT'S BEST.

The other thing that I don't like are the digital coupons because your only allowed to use one per visit. It's a total rip off..!

Overall this location is OK just some employees need...
