We have had nothing but problems with both our apartment and the management company at Countrywood. The pictures advertised online are of the newly renovated apartments, our apartment is not renovated and it definitely shows. We have at least 4 layers of paint on all surfaces making it nearly impossible to close cabinets throughout the apartment. The many layers of paint also result in a very loud sticking noise any time a door is opened, one bedroom door actually does not shut fully because of all of the layers of paint. There are many repairs to the drywall that were done poorly and look terrible. The appliances are old and the oven has had repeated pilot light issues. We have had a lot of rain this season which has resulted in a leak in our roof that made its way into our microwave, we called immediately and the "fix" only resulted in the same exact thing happening during the next rain storm. We repeatedly asked for the gutters to be cleaned so the water would stop falling directly over our doors and windows and on to our patio, nothing was done for over a month. Most recently a pipe under our kitchen sink burst, probably due to the build up of pressure from the many utensils and straws that were found in the pipe and blocking the flow of water. We were told by management that they called us and delivered a notice to us at our door, we have record of no missed calls when management claims they called and our Ring doorbell has the footage (or lack thereof) showing that no one came to our door to deliver said notice. A very aggressive and extreme approach of potentially "getting the legal team involved" was threatened to us. When confronted management with our substantial evidence against their claims, it was eventually resolved but the entire situation was handled poorly. We are moving in June and are very much looking forward to our time with...
Read moreI moved in the Counrtywood Apartments 04/2018 I really loved the place the office staff Valma was Great. I moved because were I lived the owner was selling the property that I lived in for about 7yrs. While applying for the apartment, being that the rent was a little high then I was looking to pay I expressed my concerns to Velma and ask if I moved in will I get an rate increase after 1yr she stated to me at that time NO I'M AT TOP RATE FOR REDLANDS. So I moved in, the same month I moved in I heard water dripping in my bedroom I went in the bathroom and to my surprise my ceiling in the bathroom was bubbling and about to cave in called the 24hr maintenance they came out put a big hole in the ceiling and put a Industrial Dehumidifier in the bathroom to run all night. Came back the next day to fix the big hole and paint. From that day almost a year I've had nothing but plumbing problems(running sinks, garbage disposal, and a small like bad sewage) I even Called Valma and asked was there a sewage problem she stated no. In December 2018 my Mom passed away and I had Family come down and had to call maintenance once again for running water down my wall in the kitchen in the microwave onto the stove. And the hall bathroom had a water under the sink onto the floor. Maintenance came out changed the pipes under the sink and told me that the water in kitchen was coming for upset and it was water sitting on the walls that where the smell was coming from and he brought the dehumidifier over again that stayed in my apartment running for a week then on 01/13/19 I received a letter on my door stating that my rent was being increased $75 wow I don't understand no upgrades done nothing but me getting rid of my things that were damaged by there plumbing Problem. nothing but repairs since I've lived here. Renters...
Read moreIn my experience, the office staff does not communicate well with residents, the maintenance staff does consistent half assed jobs (painting things over seems to be their answer), the sinks/drainage/pipes are disgusting, not to mention the two community laundry rooms; maintenance barely cleans them and appears to make no effort to keep the washers and dryers clean of dirt and other gunk. I live in an older unit and if it weren't for the fact I'm a newly wed and saving for a house, we would be looking for another pad. That said, the apartments have garages, which as been nice and your neighbors are decently friendly. It is nicely located near the freeway, University of Redlands and you can be downtown in five minutes where there is plenty of great places to eat, drink and enjoy this great little town. Oh, and watch out for dog poop, most of the dog owners here are lazy and refuse to pick up after their pets despite the readily available doggy bag dispensers. If management were more up to par and maintenance staff gave a damn, this place would be five stars. But they're not. Again, in...
