Updated May 15th 2025 Tonight I had the worst customer experience of anywhere I've ever shopped at. This occurred on May 15th at 8:15 p.m.. There was a cashier there that I had never seen before. She looked to be around 18 - 23, has short black hair it was pale. What I want to go and pay for my items I told her that I needed two balloons filled. In the process of filling them two customers got behind me. When the cashier came back she said to them that she's sorry the line has gotten so long because I (myself) needed to get balloons filled. My total was just over $9 and I handed her a $20 bill. She then sarcastically said to me "oh I just love it when people give me 20s". She then proceeded to put her hand by her face and flip me off while adding that the $10 she gave me was her last $10 in her drawer so now she's out. It's not my fault if she runs out of bills and does not know that two $5 bills equal $10. That interaction was the rudest I've ever had with a cashier. It was completely disrespectful and uncalled for. To make matters worse when I went on the Dollar tree website to file a complaint. As soon as I put down that I was filing a complaint the website suddenly started rejecting the stores ZIP code and the complaint that I made. How Odd.
My main issue with this store is the manager. They are always going through employees like toilet paper and it's not hard to understand why. Nearly every time I go in the store the manager is complaining about employees to the employee themselves, to other staff or to customers. You can't expect to keep decent employees when your giving them a big reason to leave. The bathroom is usually a mess, the floors are frequently dirty and needing to stock shelves seems to be an issue. Then again, when you can't keep staff, there's...
Read moreI am quite disappointed in the level of service I have gotten from the employees here and I've been in the store 4 times during the month of August and each tune I've had a similar scenario as the one I'm about to share. I spend my money here cause the prices are unbeatable and the products are good as well. So my most recent experience I had a list of a few hygiene items I needed to buy. After locating 3 of my items on my own I asked the gal working where I could find the body wash. She pointed in a general direction and said "it's over there". I will point out that I'm disabled and have trouble walking and with my vision, so I was unable to locate "over there". I asked two more times and both times she responded the same way and my frustration had grown. I decided to give up on the body wash and pay for the items I already had. I kind of passively said to the lady as she was checking out that I would just use the shampoo I was buying as body wash and she replied "sounds good". I was very upset that she wasn't willing to show me where it was as it was obvious I couldn't locate it. I have been in retail customer service for over ten years and I would be happy to teach a class to your employees on how to better take care of their customers. Retention is so important in This industry! If you would like to consider having me do that please reply with your contact information and I'll reach out with what it will cost and the times I'd be available. One last thing I had mentioned to this worker how it was super hot in the store and she told me that the people that make the tempature decisions are in Texas. So Instead of an apology I got an excuse. If you don't choose me to do it please find someone to train your employees on how to care...
Read moreDon’t go looking for the Mylar balloons! They are completely off limits apparently! I guess there’s a sign not to touch then, but it’s not clearly visible. Plus if you don’t want people looking for the balloons, how about NOT LEAVING them out in an open area in what looks like shelves on the wall?!?! Lisa, one of the employees will berate you, yell, and argue. Someone died and made her queen of the damn balloons I guess. I will never go back to that store again. Ever. I even asked for the manager to call me and she was pretty much just as rude as Lisa, the employee I had to deal with. Their corporate office will be getting...
