Richland Hills Station — Local services in Richland Hills

These things are still very new to us. Texans love their cars.

This station is much easier to manage than the downtown Fort Worth stations regarding an expanse of free parking and the cleanliness that always evades any downtown destination. It's a much better deal, only you’re that much closer to Dallas and if that is your destination you’re forced to buy a set rate regional rather than a local pass for what amounts I think to only two more stops.

My son needed the train to ride to his work in Dallas and this has worked out very well with my dropping him at the stop and its end destination being right where he needs to be for the day. He now has a discounted pass that he obtained via his employer and so will no longer be paying the full fare, which is also incredibly convenient.

There is a sign up now that this station is going to close for another rebuilt one across the highway so that will lengthen our driving time in the morning if we intend to pursue it in the same way. I intend to continue to support him in this as the added time it would take for him to get to the nearest Trinity Rail stop and switch trains would severely cut into the hours of his day.

All in all though I am a fan of the rail systems and much hope they continue to evolve. I'm looking forward to the future and the many conveniences it seems to hope to bring along the way. Thumbs up...

My family and I rode the train to Dallas and back and it was a great experience.

We came out from a concert and missed the last train that went to Fort Worth. (11:05pm) We made a mistake and went to track 4 instead of track 3. A freight train came through and blocked us from being able to get to the right track. There were a whole train full of people this happened to. Trinity Metro employees made some phone calls and they made a special exception and took us all back to Fort Worth. I was extremely grateful that they were accommodating since we made a mistake and they could have left us at the Irving stop. (The 11:39pm stops at Irving)

It’s always cheaper than paying for expensive parking at concert venues and actually it saves time and you don’t have to deal with all the heavy traffic...

Thank to the TRE service tuck that helped us when I lost my key on the train. If it wasn't for him and a great stand by citizen we would have been stranded with 2 little ones at 12 in the morning. He told me where to stand to talk to the conductor and helped me franticly look for my lost key for the 30 seconds they gave us. He stayed with us till we drove off to make sure we could start the car! This guy needs a raise....
