Goldmine Games — Local services in Richmond

I came to this store a few years ago, just having gotten back into Dungeons & Dragons, and was amazed. This store was my paradise. It has everything a tabletop nerd could love. At some point I had heard that they opened up rooms for D&D, I looked at them and fell in love immediately, especially with the castle room, and promised myself one day I'd get a group of friends and come play. That day came at the beginning of this summer, and I played a campaign with my buddies who I played with in highschool. Since I just graduated this was like my finale with this group, and it was the best D&D I've ever played, and the most I've ever loved playing it. The scenery, the lighting, the props, everything made the experience so much more real. More than that, the people working there are awesome. To them, we were just the funny teenagers that would experiment with the lighting to fit the intensity of the scene, making ourselves look funny on the camera, but to us the community and the space that they had built meant the world. It was because of this place that I built lifetime bonds, told a tale I'll remember forever, and instilled the same love for the game that I have into my friends and family. I owe so much to this place, it alone revitalized my love for the game, which in turn built some of my greatest memories, and for that I thank y'all. I couldn't recommend this...

What can I say about Goldmine… it’s an amazing store. If you’re into painting, I believe they have the largest paint selection around; at least that I’ve seen. Their game selection is one of the largest I’ve ever seen in the area. I commented that I think they stock more Warhammer than the actual Warhammer stores. Their staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about games of all genres and types. They have a huge selection of board games and card games, accessories such as card sleeves and deck boxes, dice, you name it I think they have it. There is also a gigantic game room, and a huge paint room. Not to mention their two DnD conference rooms, both looking as if they were taken out of the story itself, one of them also hidden behind a secret door. You name it they have it and I honestly live an hour away, but I’ll make that drive every single time just to support local and utilize their amenities. Also compared to a lot of stores, they don’t charge...

My son and I came by to check this place out on a whim when I needed more GW Primer. Wow what an awesome experience and store. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a friendly smile, and were blown away by the inventory of the store. They have just about anything and everything you can imagine for your gaming needs, from miniatures to lesser known board game expansions. What really intrigued me was their star wars Armada/x-wing/legion inventory. I've always been interested but never taken the dive. After buying an Everdell expansion (I was surprised they had it) and the GW paint I was looking for, we went home, but then came back the following day to pick up the x-wing core set! They accidentally had my email off by 1 letter, so my $5 off email had not come through yet. They gave me $5 off anyways and said to keep my other $5 off email for later! Amazing customer service!
