Sassy Cakes Bakery & Treats — Restaurant in Texas

I had a 5 star experience here but also a bad one. I ordered a baby shower cake here and it was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing I ordered it through the lady. *The second time was the horrible experience I called to get pricing on a cake and a man answered I believe he said he was a baker. Well I wanted to just get some different prices for a basic zebra cake. He asked the day and time and also gave me a price. I told him okay but I was gonna keep looking around. I ended up finding a cheaper one at Kroger’s so the day of the party an unknown number is blowing up my phone. I finally have time between the running around and answer he is asking me what time I’m coming to pick up the cake. I told him I never ordered a cake and I was only calling for pricing. He’s telling me they’re about to close and someone needs to pay for this cake. I let him know that it wouldn’t be me paying for it because I never placed an order. I ended the call and he continues to call me every 10 minutes. I ended up having to block the number. When I ordered my first cake through them the lady made me put down a deposit for it. I never put a deposit down with him because he didn’t ask and if he would have I would have made it clear I wasn’t interested in...

I went to the bakery and ordered 2 dozen cupcakes a month ago for a baby shower. One dozen decorated, the other dozen spice flavored. The day of the shower I get a call saying there was a family emergency, and the spice cupcakes were not going to be ready. By no means do I think cupcakes are more important than a family members health, but I should have gotten a call sooner. Someone was at the shop making the other dozen cupcakes that morning, so I should have been notified in a more timely manner. They tried to accomodate me by giving me a dozen cupcakes in random flavors they already made but still charged me full price. At this point l had no other choice, because I did not have time to find a different bakery. That's bad customer service all the way around. Like I said, I understand things happen, but you shouldn't charge a customer for an order they didn't even want - especially when you leave them with no time to find a different option. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the other dozen I ordered and received...

I was very angry when I received the ugliest cake I had ever laid eyes on...the cake I ordered was NOTHING like the cake I received!! My cake looked like someone colored Ramen noodles and poured them on top of a black cake!!! I ordered chocolate icing on a chocolate cake and my icing was white!! The cake was very dry and barely edible... I ended up spending almost twice as much as I spent on the initial cake(which was EXTREMELY over priced) trying to fix the disaster that this woman insisted on calling a cake. I received this monstrosity only minutes before the party so there was nothing I could do but go to every craft store I could possibly find on my way home... The only way I could think to fix it was by putting a bunch of candles on that cake in hopes of hiding the hideous icing!!! I feel like I'm being very generous with the one star rating because honestly this place deserves -10 stars...pls don't make the same mistake I did by paying an absurd amount of money and trusting this lady to make a decent...
