I bought a Highland home in 21. They have installed the wrong size air-conditioning unit which led to two years and over 50 visits from an AC company and nobody could figure they just installed the wrong size unit and it was never going to work. My house is covered in mold, but I’ve already had a mold inspection done and I have to move out for them to repair because it’s such a large area. The companies that they use such as Cabinet, plumbing, electricity are all sub-par. I have had issues that were never addressed (warranty submitted). I was contacted by an attorney that read my review, who happens to have bought A Highland home as well and is having some of the exact same problems,I.e.when you turn on the vent in your bathroom instead of air being sucked out it pours water onto the floor… this seems to be quite common if you do your due diligence and read multiple reviews from different areas you will find this is a common complaint. I just had to replace my entire AC system and have all air ducts replaced. The vents were in the wrong place. Wrong size ducts delivering to much air to small vent means condensation which led to mold. Every single one of these construction managers, Jeremy, Jim, Collin.. and Gary! Omg Gary. He is supposed to be a manager, his title is the warranty manager, but it took me two years back to back warranties almost every day to even lay eyes on him. I didn’t even know he existed. He came into the picture and caused more confusion. Besides those two major problems, I replaced already 18 windows for busted seal. Highland is the one that installed them ( not window professional ) im guessing to save money. Just like all of the other shortcuts they took. None of my walls are straight to the point I’ve had to have my living room and two of the bedroom re floated so the wall would at least be even so we can hang something on it. I mean, the list just goes on and on and the fact that they told me this house was inspected. There’s just no way, it took my inspector all of 5 min to tell me the problem with airconditioner. My house was built during Covid. I was told by the mold inspector and two different AC owners. (I went with high rated, small businesses so I could deal with the owner) Both of them told me there’s no way they did not know that was the wrong size unit. There is a calculator that should be used based on the zone that you live in, square foot of your house and that tells you what size unit you need. Everybody was so helpful and kind until I signed that paperwork. Then NOBODY cared, Then Covid hit. I was penalized 5k for people being out sick with Covid and my bank not acting fast enough because of this, which was no way my fault. The construction teams were constantly rotated out. every time I came by here, there was a different crew. I have videos of not one not two but three cases of glass bottled beer not canned on the construction site. Manager told me it was normal!? Whomever buys the Highland home, PLEASE get your own inspection!!!!! Overall a 0 out of 10. I am joining the lawyer for a lawsuit with the attorney he hired since he can’t represent himself who happens to have another lawsuit, not pertaining to either one of us against this company….. lol I got a copy of all the service visits from the AC company. I have a copy of all of my warranty request. I have a copy of all of my emails to them constantly telling them what was wrong. My house has smelled like mold since the day I moved in, I never got a final walk-through before closing. The list really doesn’t end and I have receipts for all of it! Including the tens of thousands of dollars I’ve had to pay and repairs out of pocket that will be addressed in the lawsuit. Instead of them stepping up and realizing there was a problem and fixing it, they strung me along for two years until my warranty ran out. Everyone ignored me and acted like I was just complaining about things. I had to stop working to be here for workers on daily basis. I have receipts and a lawyer. Shame...
Read moreThis is 0 star experience. I had the worst experience going in to look for a new house. The sales guy Walter gave himself the nickname rookie, sure enough acted like one while talking to a customer. Talked down and seem very uninterested in helping me find a home for the budget mentioned, while they have a few different plan that would be in the 700s. Instead of selling me on the plan I was interested in was completely rude and told me why am I even bothering looking at the plan and not in the nice way. I sent a note to the builder and no...
Read moreThe homes were absolutely gorgeous! And the gentleman who spoke with me was very nice and informative. The paperwork and his card he gave me I put it down somewhere and I don’t remember where or else I would have added his name to my review. I keep telling friends and coworkers. They should go...
