I have been supporting this local business for years and “used to” love this place a lot especially for my son who loves their donut. However the new owner Jason, has absolutely no idea on how to run this place. I have had two back to back bad experience which I would like to share so you can avoid this place or go there being informed. On a “non-busy” day (3-4 people inside with no line), Jason took our order (2 sausage egg and cheese sandwich, 3 donuts; 1 cup of coffee; that is all). I stood there with my 8 yr old patiently for 40 mins because I know he just took ownership of this place and we want to give him time to be acclimated, but to my utter surprise, I noticed one guy came in much later and placed an order and asked if he’s order gonna be late (I guess he’s been noticing orders are coming in late) and within 2-3 mins they specifically got him his donuts and the sandwich order in front of us. I know this is not a preorder as this gentleman ordered in front of us (we were waiting by the counter). This is not acceptable as you make the good people wait who is giving you the benefit of doubt and being kind and supporting your business while you attend folks who are barking up. In that case, I don’t need to stand and wait for 40 mins at a donut place and don’t mind taking my order to another place. In all honesty it’s not about the wait but the way they conducted their business is what I couldn’t accept. Coming home, we find out the order for our sandwiches was made wrong. Not the sandwich we ordered. I’ll not be...
Read moreThe Grove is situated amidst a Pecan Grove, hence the name... It's not the pecans that make people go nuts out here, though, it's definitely the do-nuts.
Made to order donuts, I know, I couldn't believe it either. You wanted reeses coco puffs on a peanut butter glazed donut, but the high demand caused you to miss out? No problem, they'll make it fresh, just the way you like it.
The menu is very large, and one outing is not near enough (we're okay with that). It's also a deli, with large portions for the price. It's a shame they close at 2pm, because my wife and I both could eat here for every meal (don't you dare judge us).
Contrary to popular belief, it's not all about the donuts here, (it could be, no joke). They have kronuts (croissant with glaze and toppings), kolaches, full cafe menu, and plenty of other delectable treats and specialities.
If this wasn't so far out of town from us, we would no doubt be supporting three full time salaries here. Can't recommend it highly enough. Go nuts,...
Read moreUnderrated, understated. These donuts (in all forms) are the best I’ve ever had!!! So much better than those voodoo guys who are just in it for the social media posts.
This place is such a treat!!! Awesome sandwiches too, do you can have a legit 2-3 course meal here with a sandwich, kolache, and all the donuts.
Got the veggie bahn mi sans kimchi, added jalapeños and fried egg and it is spicy good!
Maple crunch donut holes were like eating a homemade honey bun breakfast.
Cookie butter yeast donut was good and would make for an ideal sweet and salty snack.
Rocky road kronut was a really great change-up alternative to a typical croissant stuffed with chocolate (Starbucks).
Cake donuts taste nostalgic, and I recommend eating the tres leches one with a fork. You’re welcome.
And Cafe Du Monde coffee for the win. Got my iced coffee with almond milk and caramel. 🤌
Love the play...
