Richmond Bowl — Local services in Richmond

I searched far and wide to find a bowling alley within the KC Metro area that retained its ORIGINAL WOOD LANES and ORIGINAL AMF 82-30 pinspotters. For that reason I made the trek out to Richmond, MO to bowl, and man was it a challenge! I don't bowl professionally but, bowling on REAL WOOD LANES was very different and very hard! It was like skating on a wooden floor for the first time, and like skating on wooden flooring, my ball loved to ride the grooves between the boards. No matter how hard I tried, I always got caught fighting the lanes; expecting my ball to start hooking like it did on all the synthetic lanes of bowling alleys present within the immediate KC Metro area.

So... If you live in the KC Metro and NEVER had the opportunity to bowl on REAL WOOD LANES this is your place! These time capsules are dwindling as more bowling alleys convert to synthetic wood lanes and newer pinspotters. Making places like this rare gems in the rough. Richmond Bowl, a true treat and challenge to bowl at! Take an afternoon to come up and try something so familiar and yet so different! I do hope that Richmond Bowl retains its wooden lanes and antique pinspotters for many...

Last night was our first night back to the bowling alley since it switched hands.

Our first thought walking in was how HUGE it looked.

It was packed, there was a waiting list, all the lanes were running great & every single one of the arcade games worked.

We easily spent 4 hours there without even realizing it, the vibe was absolutely unmatched & we can't wait to go back!

To have something like this in town for family fun is amazing. & honestly I can't wait to see how much further they take it!

Attended a child's birthday party, kids seemed to have fun and enjoy their pizza. I did not bowl, so I can not speak to it. I ordered some food, was not expecting much, and was still a little disappointed. They also had a sign requesting people remove their shoes, whether bowling or not, at the entrance, I thought this was ridiculous considering it was a little cold in the bowling alley and it seemed very unsanitary if you had to go to...
