Richwood Community Center — Local services in Richwood

This community center was formerly the National Guard Armory. They hosted this year's Richwood Ramp Feed. Officially known as Feast of Ramson. Dinner consisted of ramps, potatoes, brown beans, cornbread, ham and bacon. There were desserts and Sassafras tea (also available for sale) and cold drinks. There were vendors selling all sorts of ramp related products cookies (decorated with a ramp), ramp jelly and even ramp pepperoni rolls. Many of the items were being sold as fundraiser s. This was not our first and definitely not our last. We love these Ramp...

This is a great resource in the community! The rooms are nice and you can tell it’s an old building with some updates. Some windows need repair in the front room. If you come here for an event, BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER, or ask them if the water fountains (2) are in working order. It seemed like 1/2 of the water was turned off in the building when we were here. 1/2 the kitchen had water, water fountains didn’t work, but bathrooms worked…and you couldn’t get water to mop/clean with. Just make sure you have a back up plan for drinking...
