THE OAKFORD POOL HALL LLC — Restaurant in Richwood

We had planned a memorial for my father who passed the end of April at his childhood part of West Virginia, Fayetteville, and we wanted to have a small family gathering at a park afterwards. Being out of state we googled caterers with no luck and then a cousin recommended Amanda from the Oakford Pool Hall. A bit skeptical at first we read the reviews and were very impressed so we placed a call to Amanda. Long story short we hired Amanda to cater for 50 people at a park pavilion in Summersville and we were very impressed and very happy we found her. The food was excellent (freezes nothing, all fresh), her communication was outstanding, her prices very fair and honestly we had food to feed way more than 50 people actually bringing many leftovers home with us that we ended up sharing with family members. I cannot express how easy Amanda made an already difficult situation by working with us endlessly to ensure we were taken care of properly. She was professional, very easy to talk to and punctual and we are very grateful for her handling the catering for our family. We will be back to visit in September and plan to stop in to the Oakford Pool Hall for some more...

Ok ... so the Story goes like this ... on Monday 11/14/22 2:40 pmreturn part of a road trip from Tallahassee Fl to Frederick Md, Harpers Ferry WV, Washington DC. Woodstock - New Market Va & Summersville WV. ... then Downtown Richwood WV. & sure enough We end up in the OakFord Bar & Grill, Pool Hall LLC ... so ... through the red door We go ... WoW ... this Bar was/is clean !!! With shinny coragated metal siding for the kickside, bottom half, of the Bar to the wooden walls with different items displayed on them ... Everything was clean !!! The Red Velvet Cupcakes ... were very good & clean !!! We drink .... We talked ... We laughed ... stayed until shift change ... and the evening bartender was as attentive to all the customers as was the day bartender ... Far above & way beyond, What could of been conseald behind the "Red Door" ... I will fondly remember and return to this amazing, local watering hole & eatery with pool & other planned evening entertainment worth showing up for !!! Well I showed up, had a real experience IT will be remembered as ... The Time Spent at "Heidis' Hideaway" ... aKa ... The OakFord Pool Hall &...

Saturday evening of a WVU game and our youth football team (who had just won the super bowl in Richwood) took over the pool hall. We showed up with 20 children and 13 adults, the waitress informed us she was short staffed so it may took a little longer, well she was wrong. Service was AMAZING, food was fabulous, and we never had a an empty beer glass. The burgers were juicy and enough for two, the curly fries were to die for, and the wings were out of this world.
