I am completely baffled at the below one star reviews? I have only had five star service and experiences at Mt. View Stables! This friendly barn is a warm, clean atmosphere with top-notch care. Kathy, the barn Manager, is detail oriented and busy daily tiling the arena, scheduling vet and dental appointments for horses, blanketing, turning-out and feeding. In my three years boarding, I have seen minimal turnover with clients or staff at Mt. View Stables. The barn is up-to-date, accommodating and safe. Horse trainer and instructor, Verne Meeds, has more than 55+ years of experience with horses and is truly one-of-a-kind. He has a gentle manner that fosters learning and progress in a natural manner. His kind and patient style makes Verne an automatic leader horses want to follow. After taking lessons with Verne, he helped me purchase my dreamhorse -and I have never been happier! He works with beginning students, as well as advanced, to help individuals achieve their goals. I recently had a family move out of state and feel 100 percent comfortable and confident leaving my beloved horse behind, knowing that Verne and Kathy/Mt. View Stables will take excellent care of her. It will be impossible to replace the care and expertise and experiences at Mt....
Read moreI've been taking lessons here for about five months and I've learned so much! There are several wonderful lesson horses available, which I really appreciate as someone who doesn't own a horse. The barn family is great; I enjoy seeing everyone and watching others ride. The vibe is very casual and welcoming, and Verne is a really experienced and patient trainer. During my time here I've seen all ages and skill levels being accommodated. Mt View is in a convenient location close to I-5. The facility is nice and spacious, and the horses living here are happy and definitely well taken care of with consistent feeding times and supplements. There's a large indoor arena with lights and soft rubber/sand footing so you can ride year-round. There are also FOUR barn cats that you can pet and cuddle! They are all very soft and friendly and love attention. I can confidently recommend this barn for anyone who wants a good place to board their horse or is interested in...
Read moreI think one star says it all. Do not be fooled by the white fence pastures. Your horse will spend most of its life in its dark stall. And in case you are wondering what the thick red slime is in all the water troughs well- they will never tell you... But hey, the owner plants lots of flowers everywhere -yay! Kind of like painting...
