The owners are very friendly. In fact the entire staff is friendly. They’re quick to help you. I’ve never had the special service that I get at Cockrell’s anywhere else. In fact, I’ve been to a couple of other local Farmer’s Markets and although their produce is comparable the atmosphere just doesn’t compare to what I feel and enjoy at Cockrell’s.
Also, I have to say that Cockrell’s carries many other interesting and different products that makes shopping there “fun” and enjoyable. I always wonder what new yard decor they’ve got. I’ve spent as much or more on flowers and yard decorations than I have on the produce on several occasions.
I can’t begin to relay the number of times that my neighbors have stopped when they were doing their end-of-the-day walk and talked to me and/or my husband about our front yard and how beautiful it was. They have told us about how they have planned their walk so that they can walk by our house daily and see the flowers in bloom. They also like to look at the structures that have blooms trained to grow on them. I’ve given a few people cuttings from plants that offer that privilege.
I’ve digressed somewhat because I want to share with anyone reading this very long post, that it’s Cockrell’s that made it possible for my husband and I to have access to the things we needed to make our yard one that we could be proud of and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and things every day.
I’ve never had that before. For the last two years I’ve been in the hospital many many times (9 times last year alone) and not able to do my flowers (but I have enjoyed eating my vegetables). (Lol!) I look forward to being able to resume that habit - maybe next year.
Thank you Cockrell’s for my flowers, their interesting containers to rest their feet in, and interesting structures to attach themselves to (with a little help). I’ve also enjoyed many meals with great veggies thanks to you. I’ll be enjoying many more delicious meals with the vegetables, casseroles, cornbread and desserts that I’ve put in the freezer, thanks to you. I ask you, what more could a...
Read morePretty good variety of craft stuff, good variety of veggies and some fruit. I came in November. Jams, jellies, dressings, these types of things galore. They have Christmas trees in right now as well. Only cause for 4star is the prices. 10$ for a summer sausage, 9$ for praline pecans(sm), 14$ for regular pecans(lg), 7$ for bacon, just to get an idea for what they have. Nice people,...

I’ve washed and strained them twice but some rocks are so small that they are sticking to the butter beans! Be so very careful!!!! Plus they won’t answer the phone so I can...
