I asked my disabled son if he wanted to go to pick out a pumpkin after breakfast or to the bookstore and he said bookstore, repeatedly. So, off we went to Magnolia and Main. I thought I might just find something for him to look through there. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and with a smile by the owner and my son immediately set about exploring every nook and cranny of the store. Traci, the owner, was very understanding and even let him keep a Cookie Monster porcelain figurine someone had beautifully painted and donated that she had displayed. (He had picked it up and couldn't make his mind up between it and Big Bird! 😂) She showed me the books that he might be interested in and I decided to purchase one of them. He enjoys it very much! We also met Wilbur, the adopted bookstore ginger tabby kitten. What a bundle of cuteness! He definitely steals the show! I love visiting used bookstores like this while traveling, and Magnolia & Main did not disappoint. The selection and variety was surprisingly excellent, and there was a nice variety of other bookish things as well, many of them from local artisans. Highly recommended.
