Warning semi long review

Furniture 42 thank you so much for coming by and fixing my bed frame. First of all, I’d like to give a little bit of a backstory.

Jackie Robinson was a co-owner to the previous store (same location different name) where I bought my bedroom set. There was a parting ways between the co-owners. I had attempted to get this bed fixed from the previous partner with no avail. I had some drawers at the end of my bed that weren’t properly functioning. Trust me I tried several times. I was told a variety of things. I was told to get additional screws from Home Depot, that a new part would be ordered (which never came ). I was put off, not messaged back, no replies, etc. essentially ghosted. All from the previous owner. That whole purchase had nothing but issues back then.

Fast-forward about 2 years later, I reached out to Jackie once he reopened his store solo. My significant other bought some furniture from him and had a very great experience from start to finish. Everything came in on time and as expected. I decided to reach out to see if there was anyway that he could help me regarding my previous purchase. I knew it was likely to be a long shot since so much time had gone by. In addition it was a new company.

Despite the fact that he had no obligation to come and assist, to my delight he gladly did so, without any hesitation. Jackie has renewed my faith in humanity (in the sales world) and is truly a man of his integrity and customer service is most definitely number one. He is a hard worker and truly enjoys what he does and it shows. This is the exact reason I prefer to support local business versus the big box stores.

So I say to anyone out there looking to make purchases for furniture, mattresses, appliances, etc. to check out...

Bought a curio cabinet from Funiture 42. The curio cabinet has melted tape marks on glass, throughout the sides and the front sliding door. There are also some scratches in the glass that do not come out. Jackie said he would come out and clean the glass and it still never came out. We were left with having to clean the glass ourselves Isproyl acohol with microfiber cloths which he recommended. The impressions in the glass did not come out, he was rush. I asked him to come back and take his time to make it look right. He said he would order us a new but there is no guarntee that the glass will not have the same impressions since they are shipped from overseas. He could not guarantee it. We would also need to assemble the curio cabinet ourselves. The cabinet is extremely complicated to assemble and fragile. Jackie assembled it and it took them hours to assemble. Although, he stated he gave us a good deal it is still an expensive piece of furniture. I would not recommend...

Best decision to buy local and support helpful, friendly and professional owners Jackie and Olivia Robinson. They have a showroom with a great selection, however, I found my two couches by selecting them from the catalogs they have from companies they work with (made in USA). It's difficult to pick something out from a picture, but, Olivia was so patient that Saturday as I browsed photos and read measurements and descriptions until I found exactly what I was looking for (loft couch pictured). Delivery was quick. Loved that they also took and disposed of my old couches. By the way, if you have any furniture that still has life, they will donate it to a local family in need. Don't drive by thinking you'll get a better deal or better quality at a major furniture store. Jackie will work with you and your budget.
