I’ve taken my son to this Pumpkin Patch for three consecutive years now. Every year, there are 1-2 new play areas added. Our favorite this year was the bicycle track, chicken coop and corn pit. The prices have increased slightly each year, and when comparing it to other pumpkin patches, it is still relatively affordable but larger families can begin to feel the pinch. Plan ahead if you are coming from Albuquerque or anywhere outside of Rio Rancho. Pack lots of water, food and snacks for yourself and kids. I can’t tell you how many times I see grumpy parents/caretakers and their kids screaming outside of parking lot. Bring lots of sunscreen and hats as this location is on a flat (deteriorating) asphalt plot of land where the heat will cook you to well-done on a rather warm day for New Mexico. There is a small area that houses tables with a tent but space is limited (7 picnic tables with 6 or so kiddie tables not covered by tent). Overall, my son had fun but we will probably consider another place to go to in 2025 as he’s already seen and done most of what’s to offer here and I would say this place is geared more towards 2-4 year olds with some things sprinkled throughout for older kids like the basketball, axe throwing (which don’t stick lol), and paintball (weekends only). Also suggest holding off on purchasing the pumpkins. The prices are inflated relative to those you can buy at your local grocery store unless you are looking for a special kind of pumpkin that is unique looking (they have some of these). Forgot to mention.., there is no actual bathroom facility - only port-o-potties- so for all you parents especially young families, bring wipes for hands and have a plan for...
Read morehad a great time yesterday with my kiddos and grand baby, would have loved to be able too touch the cows but they had cows that bite so that wasn’t fun, had plenty of goats to touch and my grand baby had fun in there only thing was poor goats were so full by the time we got in there that they didn’t want to eat the cups of grain we paid for to feed them, maybe 🤔 if they were too rotate the goats so there’s hungry goats at all times 🤪🤪🤣🤣im sure that’s asking for to much though 😊😊🥰 the corn sandbox was a great idea my grand baby had so much fun in there she ran back to it when we were trying to leave 🤣🤣🤣 the maze was fun for all of us….. if you have high anxiety definitely go in with someone who can help you out….it’s not that big of a maze but my daughter has high anxiety (30yrs old) and she started to panic when she couldn’t find her way out and the baby (3yrs) was running wild in the maze (i think that’s what set her anxiety off more than the actual maze) thank goodness my grand baby found the way out before it got too bad for her 🥰 they had lots of games for kids to play and places to take pictures with family only downside was that it wasn’t very walker friendly there were too many potholes filled with sand and pieces of asphalt all around the place that it made it difficult for myself to walk around with my walker and try to keep up with everything around me we bought water as it was a hot day but it wasn’t cold at all that sucked too, but all in all we...
Read moreThis was our first fall in this area and wanted to check out what’s the highest review pumpkin patch in this area like. It was not what I was expected pumpkin patch, just “farm style” fun place. A lot of farm animals and self-opinionated fun stuff, like water pump duck race, ring toss, mini corn maze, basketball toss etc. It was fun, if you’re willing to be a kid. We had good time, but reason why I give only two starts is… At the end, there is pumpkin shop area, we picked one small, two medium and one larger pumpkin. The total was $40. The lady who check us out asked how much the total price will be to my youngest daughter. She was shy but told her it’s $40. She said to her “Are you sure? If you are not sure, I can charge $50.” My daughter told her it’s $40 again. We thought she was joking, but after we came home and check out credit card statement, it shows that she charged $50. Maybe she was really just joking but because she was saying it, put $50 by accident, but you know that it made my daughter’s heart break. Local supermarket has better deal on pumpkin anyway, I recommend to just go have a fun with little kids, not to...
