FNL Driving School — Local services in River Edge

I have never before posted a negative review of any business or service, regardless of the experience, but felt compelled to do so now. We decided to use FNL to drive my son to his driving test, despite the $250 cost, in order to reduce my son's nerves. The driver, who was scheduled to pick up my son at 6am, pulled up to our house at 6:35-- and when they got to the DMV, the instructor realized that he had forgotten his instructor's license at home. My son, who missed his appointment because the driver had to return home, was, not surprisingly, very nervous. They made it back, and the DMV was able to accommodate him--but in return for the $250 fee, FNL had left my son completely frazzled in the moments leading up to his exam. When I called to complain and ask for a refund, FNL was completely unapologetic and refused to admit that the instructor had done anything wrong. There are plenty of competing driving schools; there's just no reason to go with a company as unprofessional...

If I could give zero stars I would. While I was willing to move past the difficulty we had setting up the original 6 hour driving course I can not move past the debacle that was my daughter's driving exam. The instructor did not have a valid driver's license. It had expired almost a month earlier. This caused her to have to go to the back of the line and wait for another instructor to take her through the line. The worse part is when I spoke to the owner she told me that she doesn't keep any info on her employees driver's license because "that is their personal info" and all she cares about is that they have a valid license to teach. She actually tried blaming DMV for not catching it on previous visits with other students. $130.00 in cash paid to just take the driving test is not worth it with...
