I stopped into the Derby Kansas Kohls on Saturday to purchase a new shirt for a funeral this week. I found the shirt that I wanted and purchased it. As I was leaving I remembered that there was a sign above the shirts that said 25% off. So I walked back in and asked about it. I was referred back to customer service. At customer service the “assistant manager” called and asked another employee about the sale. They said it was not that shirt. I explained that it was extremely misleading. The lady and I walked over to the rack that the shirts were on and there are two hooks with approximately 30 shirts of the same type I was wanting to buy. Above was the sale sign. She again said it’s not this shirt. I again brought up that it’s extremely misleading and that I didn’t feel that it was right. She said “It’s not my fault you can’t read” I became angry and some words were exchanged. She said it is the customers responsibility to be able to read and understand the signs. I explained that it should be the store’s responsibility to assure that things are labeled and signed in a correct manner. At no time did she apologize for the confusion, or her disrespect of me. She only offered to take the discount off AFTER I argued that she should. I ended up getting my money back and leaving with no shirt. I drive 80 miles round trip to shop at that store. At the time of my visit I was wearing approximately $300 worth of clothes and shoes that were purchased at that store. I am still very frustrated today about this. I don’t expect handouts or anything for free, but I don’t expect to be disrespected like that either. I have added the pictures of the rack and the signs. I was trying to buy a striped shirt like the ones on the...
Read morehad good experience in the past until now... 11/27 order... 4 items. 1 received on time. 1 came in on 12/11 and on 12/19 2 items are nowhere to be found. Local Kohls store says any item ordered online for local deliver (these were store delivery and home delivery) any order online through website is not there problem. They offered me a refund that did not proportionally refund me. they took the sales discount off which was 15% for all orders and the kohls cash and refunded me as if I was paying full price for the original item. a $71 refund became $58. when i walked through it with Rosa she deferred that they were allowed to take away the sales discount and the kohls cash I had earned and charge me full price because and withhold any future kohls cash I may have earned but did not use. when I challenged that I was told "that order was online at kohls.com its not our problem..." so I was left with a choice to receive 1 pair of shoes and close an order still missing 2 pairs of pants but she wanted me to sign off that i had received them, or i could receive a refund that was $13 light, or I could leave and call kohls.com which I did. They are working through the problem now. I did call kohls.com and they got it correct but after a 75 minute. so if you are ordering online and it is supposed to be picked up at their store be aware that they will not assist you with an error. after calling kohls.com they did find the problem, they did fix the order and credited the difference that the local store was trying to pinch. "we are the store, that online is not our problem..." famous last words. I suggest you avoid...
Read moreI never write bad reviews because I never like to make anyone look bad, because I don’t never know all the circumstances that lead to a bad experience, like maybe I just do happen to come in at the wrong time, so I don’t write bad reviews even if the experience was bad. But the other night not going to say when, I went in with my granddaughter (3yrs) to buy her some clothes and to buy me a shirt, when I was choosing a shirt I went in to the fitting rooms twice , I walked around trying to decide , then I went over to the kids section again trying to decide what to get her, by this time I’ve been in there maybe 35mins then I noticed a coo snooping around me, didn’t think much, kept shopping, when I was walking over to pay there was the coo behind me, as soon as I walked out the store he gets in his car. So I concluded someone there called the cops on me, I spent $100 dollars , I’m not a kohl’s fan, but I shop because it’s near my home, but from now on I will go to target or to Nordstrom across the street from my job. I’m a Mexican American man and I’ve never felt profiled until that night. Anyways no grudges, the young woman who checked us out was great , very humble and polite o give her 5stars but the person who called the cops, I know you did it perhaps because of a bad experience in the past, I pray you heal from that. And that God May grant you His eyes...
