Disappointed in this company. Placed into what is call âenrichment daycareâ that costs more, because the day to day daycare is booked solid. If you are full and canât accommodate, then stop making eval appointments for guests wishing to pay the $35 a daycare rates and charging $50 eval fee when you know you donât have room. Be forthcoming about the REQUIRED perk program on top of the daycare rates. We were left scrambling and not ever finding any available appointments for our needs. Had I known about all the extra costs and lack of appointments we would have never wasted our valuable time, nor the $50 eval fee. The perks plus program caters to guests paying for Mon thru Fri daycare. I questioned why we couldnât get the perks plus program at $50 a month when we first signed up. Told it was not offered due to be booked, that we would need to get the perks Premium - at double the costs $100. Perks plus & perks premium are exactly the same with premium offering 1 free nail trim, birthday party, report card, & 10% off lodging. We donât need extra fluff, so why force me to pay $100 a month because we are not coming every day. When I questioned the programs being similar. The company then tried to back pedal, stating it was due to standing daycare reservations â If you read program, plus & premium perk plans have the same âstanding reservations.â Forcing us in the only available and more expensive so-calledâ enrichment playgroups and charging double for a perks program because you are full is just not a good practice. I was basically told by an employee that if you are bringing your dog every day, you are in the preferred category; given the best perks plus rate of $50 and top priority, better daycare rates at $35 and top time slots are held for them. We only needed a few days a week. Felt like we were kicked to the bottom and left scrambling to find ânon-existingâ appointments and paying higher âenrichment daycareâ rate of $50 per day & canine perks premium of $100. Company needs to be more forthcoming with rates for all services, including groom services. Experience was like being with a pushy salesperson. Unfortunately we will have to look elsewhere due to over inflated pricing, upcharging, and lack of appointments for guests who canât commit...
Read moreWe adopted our dog, Reo, at 6 months of age. Prior to me adopting from a family, I learned that she had another previous owner which would make myself and fiancé her 3rd owner/family. Our puppy, Reo, had some behavioral issues (trust, extremely timid and had shown signs of abuse from previous owners)
Canine Cabana has been there for us and Reo EVERY STEP of the way. Reoâs 1st birthday đ was June 9, 2021. The ENTIRE staff created a Star Wars theme for Reo, took amazing pictures and made a video and the staff sang, Happy Birthday đđđđ to Reo with a dog cake and lots of Star Wars decorations. It brought tears to my eyes.
The handlers as well as the Trainers brought Reo through socializing training which helped tremendously and it was worth every penny. She passed her level 1 obedience class in the Spring of 2021. Vicky is an AMAZING trainer and I cannot brag enough about her! Reo loves and respects Vicky. Reo has come a long way since the day we adopted her. She has the best time playing with other dogs. She is no longer afraid of other people (especially men). ALL the dog handlers are enthusiastic and they pay attention to her and provide enrichment training exercises as well as daily manners training. My dog no longer drags me the block when I taker her for walks. Other people walking their dog compliment Reo on how well behaved she is. When they ask how is that possible, I simply reply, Canine Cabana! Austin is the sweetest person every morning. He greets everyone with a smile đ. He was a tremendous amount of help answering any and all questions about boarding/lodging when I first brought Reo to Canine Cabana. EVERYONE who is employed at Canine Cabana is super helpful and friendly. I know my Reo will be treated with nothing but love when I drop her off. I cannot praise Canine Cabana enough for ALL OF THEIR hard work they have put into Reo. I love đ seeing pictures of her playing whenever itâs her day to go to Daycare. There is no other facility I would take my dog too other than Canine Cabana. I tell everyone I know about Canine Cabana
Thank you to everyone at Canine Cabana for loving and caring for...
Read moreAfter being an extremely loyal/regular customers for 5 years we were told our dog was not welcome back after our last visit when they decided to not follow procedures. We have come every other Friday and have had numerous boarding session since our dog was about 12 weeks old. He has never had any issues in those 5 years. The day of this last drop off, the later in the day staff that we are not familiar with completely disregard their system notes indicating his routine drop off procedure and advised to bring him in through the front reception area, which we havenât done in 3 years. We explained this was not our normal routine and wanted to just stick with what he knew and was comfortable with. They said the reception area was empty and to just being home in. Putting our trust in the employees as we always do we brought him through the front. Not only were there 3 staff members just standing around but there was also another customer and smaller dog that would not stop barking when we walked in. The âtrainerâ whom we were not familiar with, came out form the back and went directly at our dogs face with a leash. With everything going on this scared him and he jumped. He hit the âtrainerâ in the cheek/eye with his nose. Mind you he is a Great Dane so she was only about a foot away at the time. She continued to try and put the leash on him as my husband is asking her to stop because we had to get ours off first. After all this frustration and confusion she eventually walked him back without any further issues. He asked if she was ok and she said yes he was just being protective. My husband said he jumped because he was scared and this wasnât his normal routine we follow every other Friday. Now again, he jumped he did not bit or try to. Because of this, now all of a sudden he is a liability and not welcome back even when the manager admitted they dropped the ball. We asked if he had any other issues over the weekend and weâre told he was great. We now have had to cancel 2 non refundable trips. Worst part is our dog absolutely loved going and would just wait by the door on Fridays hoping it was his day to go, this breaks my heart. Do better...
