I recently had an amazing time exploring the beaches in Corolla with Good Vibrations! It was a simple and hassle-free rental experience, Chris and Rylee were absolutely amazing through the entire process!

We rented Blue Bandit and it was in amazing condition and perfect for driving on the sandy beach. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary features for a safe and enjoyable ride.

Driving Blue Bandit on the beach was an absolute blast! It was so much fun cruising along the shoreline and exploring areas that would have been difficult to reach on foot. The vehicles handled the sandy terrain effortlessly, and I had a great time discovering hidden coves and enjoying the beautiful ocean views.

The rental rates were extremely reasonable compared to the other options in the Outer Banks, and the flexibility in dates and times were a big plus. Whether you're planning a short or long beach trip, Chris and Rylee will accommodate your needs!

My family and I went on a week-long vacation to the OBX and absolutely had to ride dune buggies on the beach. We found this company just through google, and ended up finding the coolest and nicest people to work with. Chris and Rylee are obviously passionate about their vehicles and creating a very unique experience for their customers.

We rented the ‘74 VW Thing (Family Ride) that they had in their fleet and it was one of the coolest vehicles I have ever been able to take for a ride. The vehicle was well maintained and was an absolute blast to rip around the beach! It was very capable and even though it was RWD, we had no issues or even worries about getting stuck.

Chris and Rylee also offered us plenty of kind instruction for operating the vehicle and what to do in case of emergency. Though modified, these buggies come equipped with hefty seatbelts, roll cages, fire extinguishers, and plenty of recovery equipment. We were also provided with a parking pass for the 4x4 beach and a Bluetooth speaker!

Overall, this has been the best experience of my trip! Whether you are a car enthusiast, a lover of the outdoors, or just looking for a unique experience, Good Vibrations has you covered. If I was able, I would give them a sixth star, and I can definitely say I will be calling them every time I am around the Outer Banks!

When you consider that a 2-hr tour of the 4WD beach (in search of wild horses) on OBX for a family of four is just over $200, it made sense for us to rent a VW Thing and make our own fun. Tony, the proprietor of Good Vibrations has a passion for VWs (Thing, Baja bug, etc.) and invests a lot of thought and time into the prep and maintenance for TRUE sand/off-road running. It was fun to learn about the vehicles from him. Our rental included delivery to our doorstep at the time we selected, gas, and Tony’s expertise. We were not “on the clock” with the rental. He came to pick it up when WE were done. For our money, we got almost exactly 12 hours of driving time. The VW Thing we rented was outfitted with durable-sidewall (‘E’ rating) tires so we could safely drive on roads in town, as well as on the sand, without airing up and airing down tires with each transition. In all, we covered over 150mi of mixed driving, saw 12 wild horses, miles of pristine coastline, dune-beach neighborhoods, and also a nice restaurant. The Thing performed flawlessly. Not bad for a vintage ‘74 machine that has been modded for heavy duty off-road running.
