Food Lion — Local services in Roanoke

I called customer service 2 days ago because my mvp card that foodlion gave me was not active... They informed me that the card i had was under someone elses name. She said to throw that card away and they were going to issue me another one. Ok fine. She said all i had to do was use my phone number until i received my new card. Ok fine. Went to foodlion today to get some groceries and when i get to the front to use my phone number for my mvp card the cashier tells me that my phone number isnt registered for a card. Wtw???? She says she has one she can use for me. I tell her the only reason i came to foodlionis because i had downloaded coupons to my card so i could use it. To make a long story short... They ended up having to get the manager so i could use my coupon... I am so frustrated by this time... Im ready to...

Don't not ever buy gift cards or visa cards from this store, they charge you for them and they never activate, the card company won't help you and food lion won't replace or help to get them activated. They are useless and rip offs. If that happens and you use your debit or credit card dispute it for non working merchandise. Stay away from any type of gift cards, food lion even acknowledged they have trouble with them and still sell them. In my opinion that's...

The store was clean, and smelled nice. The staff were very friendly and informative. They make the claim to be budget friendly and they absolutely are! I was excited to see some familiar brands such as the taste of inspiration line. They had a deli, ready to go stuff, hot food, grab and go fruit, take and bake, pastries, normal groceries, some household stuff, pet supplies, and more.
