Village Grocery & Liquor — Local services in Rochester

I am disappointed in Mac's Markets at their decision to remove the community bulletin boards from all of their locations. In the rural area I live in it is THE ONE PLACE I know I can go and find out all about what is going on in my area or who has what for sale 'in my back yard'. I am sorry to hear that a few bad apples somewhere ruined it for everyone. I hope that Mac's will realize the value they are providing to rural Vermonters and put these bulletin...

They're not quite as well stocked as Mac's was, but they're still fairly new. The staff is very friendly. I did request a favorite item that was available consistently in the past and is not now, and the person I spoke with was receptive. I'm happy they opened so soon after Mac's closed and plan on shopping there...

Selection was good, however, the cashier did not have a brain. She could not count change to save her life. When I went to pay for my purchase, I was owed 50 cents and was expecting 2 quarters in return, instead she acted extremely confused and struggled to give me back 5 dimes back ......
