Dollar General — Local services in Rock Hill

Only giving a 1 b/c I have to. Paid with a $100 and was asked if I had a $20. The cashier said all she had was another $100. And of course I asked “In the whole store?” And she said yes, that the other register hadn’t been run today and she just had someone else pay with a $100. I asked if they had a safe with smaller bills and her answer was “We do have a safe but the last time we did that we got screwed over, so they don’t let us break people’s money anymore.” Even though I wasn’t asking to have the $100 broken, I was making a purchase to their store. I feel that this store is not managed well and is run by extremely unprofessional, and inept staff. Who tela a customer that the only cash they have access to is 2 $100 bills??!! 10/05/2020 @ 3:15pm. The priority of staff at this location is to talk and have a good time. One register is staffed and the other is card only. And by staffed I mean if you can “find” a staff member not just hanging out in the aisles or acting like it’s a major inconvenience to actually work a cash register. People come and go without being greeted by staff and who knows what they just walk out with on a daily basis as customers are ignored. This place needs some educated, adult level...

Not able to give zero!!! Leaving this type of review is very difficult. I know things happen, but this occurs way to often. Not sure if this is specific to a certain store (Eastview road, rock hill, sc) store hours: 8-10. We arrive at 10:30 AM the door is locked and lights are out. This is unacceptable.
