We were house hunting in more rural areas outside of Spokane and stumbled upon this small town wonder! My Mama and I visited this shop and were greeted warmly by Teresa. She offered us some iced tea as it was our first time there and made us feel so welcome.
This shop reminds me of Armadillo Market or Sweet Salvage in Phoenix, AZ. The way the shop is set up is so inviting. There are all kinds of local PNW goodies sold here and plenty of ways to support local entrepreneurs while shopping here. Each area is carefully curated with handcrafted and handmade goodness sprinkled with antiques all throughout. The yummy soy handmade candles will entice your senses too! I'm very sensitive to chemicals and I didn't find them activating to my asthma.
The next time we visited I tried an Iced Oatmylk Chai Tea Latte and it was yummmyyyyy! We met the owner Jill and now I see why the shop is so special. Thanks for welcoming us Jill. We look forward to day field trips down the Palouse Byway to come visit our favorite shop and the beautiful small friendly town...

We drove to Rockford Saturday morning, had breakfast at the Harvest Moon Cafe (great food by the way) and then went to the Mercantile two doors down.
