4/27/21 Ok so I finally got all my furniture and the manager Randy was greatāvery apologetic and accommodating. I was a little annoyed by the delivery guy taking pictures (as if to suggest that I was going to say I never got the items) and then telling the store that I complained about the media center when I didnāt, but overall, I am happy with my purchase.
4/14/21 Update (3.5 months after placing my order): Couch was ordered incorrectly; they assured me that they would re-order the correct pieces and gave me two to hold me over. I was supposed to receive my FULL order on 4/12 but they brought the two correct pieces of my sectional and left out the center connecting piece, ottoman, and media center. Delivery guys had no idea what happened to the rest but assured me that someone would call me first thing the next day. Never heard from them. Call today and the earliest delivery date is 4/29. I begged for an earlier date because I have a friend visiting from out of town, but even though it was THEIR mistake, they wouldn't accommodate. I am done with this business, I will not order from them again.
This store is awesomeāquality furniture for great prices. I ordered a sectional couch and a TV stand in store that are scheduled to be delivered on 1/15 and then later ordered a bed frame and nightstand for the spare room online and requested in the comments section that they deliver it with my other items arriving on 1/15. Almost immediately after placing my order, I received a call from Sam. My first thought was āthereās a problemā but I was pleasantly surprised when he said he was calling to confirm that my items were in stock and would be delivered in 4 days with my other items! He then sent a follow-up email with the confirmation number. I am extremely happy with this company and I can say from personal experience that the furniture is good quality; my brother bought all his furniture from there and it has held up really well. They have an awesome protection policy too (if you donāt use it when the 5 years are up, it turns into store credit!). My in-store sales agent Khalil saw the disappointment on my face when I heard the couch wasnāt in stock and I would have to wait. He made it so that I could get the two in-stock pieces about a month early so I would have something to sit on and he was incredibly patient when I held up every carpet swatch to the couch and tv stand. The five-year interest free financing is nice but if the furniture Quality degrades after one year then you're paying three to four more years of furniture you can't use comfortably if at all, in less than two years some of it had to be replaced but I'm still paying for it. Very disappointed!
The staff in the facility are really nice. When I first moved back to Franklin County a couple years ago I needed a whole house Full of furniture, so I spent a lot of money there. They had great customer service good delivery times etc. The problem is the majority of the furniture that I bought, and it really wasn't cheap, does not hold up in time. The leather couch that I spent the most money on turned out to either have some type of moisture/Mold buildup sitting in a warehouse somewhere perhaps and eventually had to be completely torn apart because I'm very allergic to mold and the interior of the couch had high concentrations of black mold.
The padding other leather couch recliner that I bought"Bottomed out" and has absolutely no lumbar support whatsoever now.
The fake wood looking table that I bought for my kitchen is completely split and cracked and unstable and it's gonna have to be replaced soon. The sad thing is I'm still paying a high monthly payment for all this furniture for another three years but almost all the furniture is gonna have to be replaced before I get it paid for. I don't doubt the sincerity of VFM in selling their products and like I said they're they're nice people but, I'm just very disappointed in some of the products. From now on I'm going to shop around it's more higher in stores to see if they're any better. I like dealing with local companies but unfortunately 100% of everything I bought from them, about $15,000 worth of furniture, is all gonna have to be replaced within...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very disappointed in my last visit to Virginia Furniture Market. It was a number of years ago that I went to the store to get a lift chair for my mother which are not cheap. After 3 months, the fabric on the foot rest portion tore. After further inspection, it became apparent the fabric was cheaply made. I contacted a representative at the store who said they would look into it. I heard nothing. I made several more attempts to get this addressed since the protection plan was bought when the chair was purchased. Again, no response. It continued to rip, and I finally gave up trying to get the issue addressed. Recently, I decided to give Virginia Furniture Market another chance. This time I purchased a regular recliner for my personal use. When I was asked about purchasing the protection plan, I refused. Kim Helms, the sales representative who assisted me was extremely professional and listened as I explained what transpired with the last protection plan that was purchased. She alerted the manager who informed me he would make it right. I was expecting a refund of my money for the protection plan. Instead, I got a gift card to be used to purchase more furniture in the store. Furniture is not something you purchase weekly or monthly. They kept the money which should have been reimbursed to me due to having to look at a ripped piece of expensive furniture for years. My mother and I have purchased furniture through Virginia Furniture Market for many years, but this will be my last purchase.
