I've been looking for a fair price/ good work reupholsterer for awhile for a chair (chrome frame, faux leather bumpy type design). Its an eye opener to be a novice in this area. I figured a fair price to be about $200. The fellow near Oak st. and Fort was kind and estimated $500. Whoa.. how about a vinyl material to save $$$? $50 less... I believe in paying craftsmen what they're worth (while hoping for a little break, if there's room). No doubt the man at Young's was a pro, judging by the works in progress in the busy store. Says he couldn't start the job for 2 months, if I decided to accept his estimate. Several staff and overhead too... I get it. Bit I'm not a furniture connoisseur, or a guy that buys $300 lamps on a whimsical shopping spree, either. Jerry's Upholstery seems to be the kind of guy I can appreciate. The picture appears that he works at a home workshop. Without expensive signage, regular advertising costs, and a whole extra set of utility bills and overhead... the way I would run a buisness if I had the skills to do so. The fact thats he's been in buisness for awhile with only word of mouth reputation for new customers, tells me this is the kind of professional that deserves a d probably appreciates my buisness. Never met the man but by the end of the week, I'll get this chair over there for an estimate. If my gut instinct is accurate, I'll be writing a good...

One of Michigan's best kept secrets. He did great work and he was one of the nicest guys I've ever met! His cost was amazing! Got quoted from 3 places and they wanted $250 to $300 and he did it for $200 and the work was perfect. He stands by his work and said if it comes down I will do it again free. My headliner looks perfect like I just got a new car.

When you see the front the sign makes it look a little sketchy but TRUST me it is legit. I took the chance and don't regret a single thing. I highly recommend this place. Look for the sign in front of a house called Jerry's upholstery....

Jerry re vinyled my massage table and just to give you some background on my table, it was 10 yrs old so it was pretty beat up 😬 when I got it back it was like brand new!!! he not only did an excellent job, but he was very professional and had excellent customer service skills, if you are looking for someone that upholsters your things, I HIGHLY recommend him, you will not be...
