If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. I left around 3:30 pm with my first driver being so EXTREMELY disrespectful that I literally had other bus riders apologizing for how I'd been treated by her. My transfer was nearly 3 hours delayed. Making my arrival at my Airbnb complicated and inconvenient since it landed me there past midnight when I had scheduled to check in before 9p.m. My ride back home was even more of a disappointment. Again, my bus which was originally scheduled to arrive around midnight was delayed by several hours. However I was lucky enough to be allowed to catch a ride on an earlier bus that was headed to the Houston station. This RARELY happens but I pleaded with the driver that he was allowing other ppl to do it so he agreed. Once I got to the Houston station I prepared myself for my extended layover since I'd arrived on an earlier bus and wasn't scheduled to transfer till 6 a.m.) I went to the cafe to buy dinner paying over $8 for food that was inedible. I literally took one bite and had to spit it out in a napkin. However, there was only one attendant in the area and she was cooking for about 7 different ppl and trying to run the register as well so I couldn't bring myself to complain to her. I simply left and ate from the vending machine (of which the cheapest snacks are $1.75.) The restroom was completely disgusting. With either/or a combination of blood, urine and feces all over every toilet and stall. (I tried to snap adequate pictures but the smell was more than I could really bare.) There were ppl whose buses were delayed for over 7 hrs. They had their small children (most of whom were either screaming from hunger or lack of sleep) laying on clothes or towels they'd pulled from their bags and put on the floor because there was really no other option. I was carrying a backpack, small suitcase, my purse, and a well sized bag that contained my daily medication and special medical needs equipment. NEVER ONCE was I offered ANY type of assistance in carrying my bags on or off the bus and all my drivers insisted that I carry all of them inside the bus since they were small enough to fit in the overhead compartments. The buses were packed with not a seat to spare and the drivers seemed tired. Some even trying to read maps while we were driving. I essentially payed over $120 round trip for a ride that should have taken about 4 hours by car but wound up being about 23 hours of pure hell. I WILL NEVER RIDE GREYHOUND AGAIN. This place should be shut down! It is downright pitiful!! The way they are conducting business is a shame and a disgrace. *NOTE: Please excuse the quality of these pictures. They were taken with the shaky hand of someone with little rest or food. One of these pictures are of someone passed out under the changing table in the restroom. How she could stand the smell I don't not know. The gruesome condition of the other stalls was too much for...
Read moreI couldn't give worse rating than this one, or I would have. The greyhound bus services has the worst customer support that I have experienced till date. I booked a ticket through greyhound bus service when there was already a warning of extreme weather in nearby areas. But as the ticket gets booked who would imagine of their trip being cancelled, that too WITHOUT ANY PREVIOUS NOTIFICATION. Till the day of my trip I was not informed about this cancellation of bus due to extreme weather. So, I wasted my money and time getting to the bus station with a hope to get to an emergency hospitalization of my dear one. To my surprise, there wasn't even any member present at the station to respond to this situation. When i called the customer support and reported about the same, they denied me any compensation for my waste of time and money. I think they are fully responsible to at least inform the passenger about cancellations, due to these known...
Read moreThe Beaumont Greyhound Bus Station was a festering corner of filth. One woman completed a lunch then just tossed all paper and remaining food completely missing trash container. Then she poured out ice and remaining drink and dropped cup where she stood. Then returned to bus she arrived on. No designated smoking or spitting areas, so that went totally unchecked. The restrooms were horrible. Trash overflowing, Masks appeared optional. Service was of the most surly and unsophisticated. The experience was more like landing in a pirate's layer in the 1600s. If you travel Greyhound be sure and take a large plastic bag that you can enclose yourself in for the duration of the trip. I would recommend some sort of filter or device that would reduce the odors...
