Costco Wholesale — Local services in Roseburg

Attention Animal Lovers and Costco Shoppers!!

I shopped at my Roseburg Costco today and witnessed something very unsettling.

Another customer with her teenage son and I were walking on the sidewalk toward the store; as we walked near a dark-colored pickup truck, we could hear a dog barking-sounded like a large dog-immaterial…as it sounded under stress! Totally unacceptable!!!

We could see the 2 front windows were cracked about 4”, it was a black truck, and the heat was 85+ at the time, with no breeze!!

We entered Costco together (I knew the customer had written down the truck license plate and I wanted to see how it would turn out). I believe the customer inquired about Costco making a store announcement to the owner of the truck.

I thought I heard the Costco ‘greeter’ wrong, so I asked the customer what she said. The Costco ‘greeter’ said, “Costco/we can’t get involved.” Totally unacceptable!!!

Costco will not even allow an announcement for a vehicle owner to report to their truck?? Totally unacceptable!!!

This from a store that makes millions of dollars every year, much of that from those of us who purchase pet food and pet supplies from them?? They can’t even make an announcement to find a vehicle owner??

Would this be their response for a child locked in a vehicle under the same weather conditions?? I hope not!!

I commented to the customer, “I bet the police will respond!” She agreed. I hope she was able to contact RPD and get their help!! If you were, please let me know on FB here! Thank you so...

Got to say I love Costco. However I've got nothing good to say about the tire center. Several years ago we went to get my wife's tires rotated there that we had purchased the year or to before from Costco. The back tires were shot and we needed replacements. Kathy the manager at the time said she wouldn't warranty them because the van was out of alignment. I took it to my father in law who is an alignment guy and he said it was fine. Then took it to a second shop and they too said it was fine. Went back there and she said that doesn't prove anything and still refused to honor it. Well yesterday I called and decided to give them another chance since she's not the manager there anymore. (She still works there and anyone who deals with her has nothing good to say) I explained the situation I had in the past and asked if this was still going to be an issue if I bought tires from there again. The only thing Andrew would do is read me the contract and offered no assurances they would provide good customer service as you expect from Costco. I was just told "we do things by the book. So I went where I have gone before and got Tires at Tire Pros. Great service and they stayed late to get them installed and even gave me better tires at the same price because they didn't have the other ones in stock. Always brought my son shopping and we'd separate our items and he would pay for his separate. My neighbors drove me to Roseburg Costco 2 weeks ago, since I can't drive after shoulder surgery. We said we would pay for these separately, and they wouldn't let us!!! Well over $100 my neighbors told them to put back if they couldn't pay! Told us only the card holder can pay. Two of them at the checkout arguing with us and asking if we needed the manager! Will it make any difference? No, then don't bother, put everything back! I couldn't pay for them, they were going to use their EBT card. Oh my goodness, always used to be able to do this. Neighbor wondered if it was a discrimination thing as he's Native American and full of tattoos, shaved head. I did buy the ribs, have to save the ribs. But it was a very disappointing ride home. 3 hour round trip, thought they were going to stock up and save some money, but squashed at the check out!!! And they were doing it for me, their vehicle, their gas, their time, just to take me! They are never going back to Costco, being humiliated like that in front of all those people. $60 is a lot for a membership when you're supporting a family of 4 on 1 disability check! Costco should have a disabled or low income option...
