Shop 'n Save — Local services in Ross Township

Ridiculous experience at this location. Went to deli counter, where there were two or three people in front of me. When my turn came, the employee looked at me, and turned away to do something. I waited a few minutes. Then, another customer approached, and I was completely ignored! What is that about? Then, a second employee appeared, looked in my direction, and went to the back of the department. Again, WTH?? Another way in which this store has failed! I finally left, and found what I wanted at Giant...

Sometimes they don't always have the specials they advertise. They sell out quickly. And some of the refrigerated foods such as yogurts are expired dates. 3 or 4 days over the expectation date. And could be soured. I had to tell someone at the service desk about it. This also goes for other foods like their store made hoagies. They are not kept back in the coolers.and can get warm and make someone sick. Got to check the dates for expired foods.So check for...

While it may not be as gargantuan as every Giant Eagle this Shop n' Save maintains the small town feel. They have a great selection and the staff is hands down better than almost any GE I've been in. They've done a wonderful job of maintaining stock during the pandemic and haven't had to institute the silly one way lane stuff. In addition hands downs the BEST play list of any grocery store in the burgh. Plus you never know what you might see...
