Center Avenue Slice — Restaurant in West View

This was our favorite place for local delivery pizza. We order weekly for our family movie night. When we called tonight we were told we are out of the delivery area. My husband nicely said “but we get delivery all the time” and they said we are 3.1 miles and their area is 3 miles. They would not take our order. Totally shocked by this terrible customer service. To add insult to jury I checked Google maps and it said 2.9 miles. Super disappointed, I guess they really don’t need our business. There’s new competitor opening every day who would be happy to have a new regular customer so we will spend our money elsewhere.

Leaving my original feedback below as my issue is not with the food but with the service.

We’ve tried all the pizza styles and they have all been delish. I especially love the white pizza and my husband loves the pan pizza with the little pepperoni that cup. We recently ordered the “Big Wig” sandwich and it was fantastic. As good or better than Permanti’s. Delivery is always hot. Reasonably priced....

We called in on a Saturday night at 8:35 (website says open till 9:30) The young lady who answered the phone, immediately informs they dont have delivery and tried to end the call. I said that's fine we will do pick up, she then says I dont think we are taking any more orders. Some young man yelled out in the background to correct her. After her irritated sigh I proceeded with my order. After ordering a pizza and appetizer, I ordered a side of steak, I do this every time for my dog. She said we dont do that. Again the young man in the back asked her what dont we do, she explained and he corrected her. So after my lovely call with this young lady, I went in to pick up my order. The first thing she said when I got to the counter is we aren't taking orders, do you have a pick up.....Well hello, you must be the ray of sunshine that took my order, I thought to myself. This young lady had no interest in doing her job, customer service definitely should not be on her resume for...

I moved to West View 5 months ago and I finally tried a Steak Wedgie from Center Ave Slice. I had the junior one for $15.99 and let me tell you it was so good! The dough was so good and the steak and instead of Onions I asked for Green Peppers. It also comes with Lettuce: Tomato and Mayo. I used to get wedgies when I lived in Shadyside this one was so much better and the amount of Steak and Cheese and lettuce and tomatoes was a lot and dinner for 2 nights! They do deliver and you can also pick it up. So happy I finally got to get a wedgie. Don't hesitate to order one from there. And the employees are so nice to great atmosphere. I also wanted to mention: I had dinner for 3 nights with the wedgie I bought. It heated up in 10 minutes in the oven and was fine for dinner for 2...
