Junk Gypsy Company — Local services in Round Top

I love this store so much that I would drive by every couple of months when going home. Would stop and buy the really nice pieces, clothing, blankets, and jewelry. I watched their show on tv. Yesterday I went by to again to see what kind of finds I could buy then. Did find a cute pair of jeans and a nice shirt. Heard a very familiar voice and thought it would be really cool if that was really Jolie and Aimee. I was so happy because I have wanted to see them in person or perhaps meet them because I have loved them for years. I felt they would be a super free soul and just be really down to earth. I very much on purpose walked around to where the voice was coming from and wave really big and smiled really big hoping to me them. I am shamed to say that all Jolie did was look up at me and basically went back to doing whatever she was doing. She was rather dismissive and too busy. This was very upsetting simply because it is us the people that buy your products. It is the people that have grown your brand. It is us the people that even keep you in business. The least you can do is remember where you came from. Be humble and kind. This was very upsetting to me as I really really loved this place. Such a shock. This was not what I would picture Jolie or Aimee to be. I pictured them to be super friendly and down home. Quiet the opposite. I will be thinking about where my money is spent moving forward. I've driven past Junk Gypsy each time I've been to the Roundtop Market. I'm usually sourcing for clients and felt this wouldn't be a fit for their needs. This Spring Market I took 3 friends with me and used this as the perfect opportunity to visit this store. It didn't disappoint!! We all enjoyed the visit and some of the girls made purchases. It's a decent mix of antiques/flea Market finds and newMarket. The store is simply adorable and well arranged. Even though it was super busy it was very easy to navigate your way into the patking area and around the store. It's easy to lose track of time here with all there is to see and enjoy. The prices were a little on the higher side, though nothing shocking to me. I've seen prices sky rocket in the design industry lately so it was as I expected. My daughter and i have been wanting to order from junk gypsy for ages but being in Australia we were worried about cost of postage and reliability of the postal service but we did it i cannot believe it took all of 6 days from the time we ordered until it arrived .
