Part of being a business owner is being able to handle negative reviews without attacking the reviewer, but this owner does not choose that route, especially when the negative reviews come from women. You have every right to disallow handbags, just as Gail and I have every right to decide for ourselves that we don't wish to surrender them. That is what we did when we were about to visit. YOU made it a big issue by imploring us to visit and lock up our handbags. Many women carry things in their handbags that we need to access on a moment's notice: inhalers, epi-pens, pepper spray, etc. I carry things that have great sentimental value to me, and I wouldn't dream of entrusting them to a strangers safe or locker. A lovely fall day spent with my sister shopping the places we shopped when Mom was still with us, brought us to Saltmarsh Antiques. A fave that I hadn’t been to since 2017/18(?) when mom lived in Newbury. The owner was so kind to let me know I could park in an area I thought was a private area, we walked the entire 3 floors, found lots of wanna-haves, had a few giggles and memories, enjoyed the music and huge array of “finds”. I found an old Thermometer priced a bit higher than my budget and the amazing owner made it happen for me. We had some belly laughs with him and the team and he treated us to view a magical space he created by planting this beautiful tree years ago. Truly a wonderful shop with items for any one interested in finding something special. Saltmarsh Antiques was the perfect ending to our sister outing....

This was such an incredible experience! I was directed to Salt Marsh Antiques by an over seas trade consultant I had found and called on a whim. I was looking for original antiques/sculptures for an artist I did not want to disappoint. Bob and his staff were so amazing and helpful! I ended up leaving with something around the same style as what I was looking for but far more elegant. With over 30 dealers they work with and over 30 years in business I couldn't imagine you leaving there without something phenomenal!
