ABSOLUTE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER!!! BUYER BEWARE: AVOID Wild Rose Events at all costs! The owner of Wild Rose Events, Domonie Matteson, was an absolute NIGHTMARE to work with. She was on a list of vendors we obtained from our venue, The Castle at Rockwall (which we absolutely loved). All of our vendors were truly outstanding EXCEPT for Wild Rose Events. Domonie was extremely UNPLEASANT to work with and very RUDE to our wedding party on the day of the wedding. She ran LATE setting up the decorations and was still working on setting up while guests were arriving. In addition to that, she DID NOT PROVIDE the same flowers that we requested, DID NOT PROVIDE many of the decorations that we paid for (such as candles, flowers, drapery, petals down the isles), and refused to refund the money for the MISSING ITEMS. When we didn’t think things could possibly get any worse, she accused us of not paying the invoice on time (which she got to us late because of corrections she had to make) and refused to give us back our deposit. We requested that she return our deposit but she absolutely refused and then would no longer respond to our emails. This was truly such a HEARTBREAKING EXPERIENCE from the wedding. I have heard of other horrifying stories like this but have never been the one to actually experience something like this myself. After many attempts to collect our deposit back that was rightfully owed to us, we decided that there was just no other way to get our deposit back other than taking her to court and letting the judge make the decision. At court, Domonie showed up late, was RUDE, and admittedly told the judge “I had several other weddings that week and didn’t have time to mess with their stuff.” The judge grimaced at her response and ordered a judgement (public record in Rockwall County) for her to pay us our deposit back. After hearing what she said in court, I believe that Domonie overbooked herself, did not want to admit that she did anything wrong, did not want to apologize or just make it right. This has been such a NIGHTMARE and so I would just like to warn others about our experience and what we went through, so hopefully someone else can avoid this HEARTACHE on their...
Read moreChoosing Wild Rose Events was our biggest mistake. Everything with Damonie was great via email & meeting with her in person. She was professional, I had a vision of our floral/decor & she was spot on with it all. But then our wedding day came. Our table decor was completely wrong, candles were missing, they forgot about our upstairs cocktail tables, the outside gazebo floral arrangements were not set up the way I wanted & agreed on, my toss bouquet was missing & last but not least they ran late. We had all our guests waiting inside the venue prior to the ceremony because it was so hot out & Damonies team was still setting up inside. This should not happen. Unfortunately but luckily we had a small incident and the ceremony ran 20 minutes behind. If this wouldn't have happened, the girls may have still been setting up with guests inside the venue for cocktail hour after the ceremony. A few days after the wedding I emailed Damonie about everything that had happened including photos & proof of everything. This is where my biggest regret of choosing her comes in. Upon emailing her, I received nothing but excuses & Damonie defending her girls & blaming us for certain situations. Since Damonie was not there for our wedding her responses were "Well I was not there so i dont know what to say". Best part, we never received an apology until I said anything to her. As a bride, we all know this is one of the biggest & most important days of our lives. We pay so much money for a wedding service & nothing should go wrong but it did for us. 6 things they messed up on..not just 1!!! At the end of the day Damonies girls were in the right, they did nothing wrong & she could care less about her service to us now because she has our money. She has no sympathy for what went wrong on my wedding day & I have not heard back from her again. To see all the positive reviews brides have left her hurts to know I did not receive the same service. Think twice before choosing Wild Rose...
Read moreWild Rose Events (Domonie Mattson) blew me away in every way. I had seen her work in the past and knew that she had the work ethic, artistry and experience that I was looking for. I hired her to travel from Texas to Omaha, NE where our wedding was. At our first meeting we discussed all important aspects and what was impressive is her ability to "get" what is desired. I wanted timeless, classic elegance and she nailed it in every way. We have had many people share that we had the most beautiful wedding that they had ever attended and much of that was attributed to the flowers. When I got to the beginning of the aisle & the doors opened, my dream had been surpassed. It was more than nicely arranged quality flowers, it was the feeling that Domonie & her amazing assistants were able to create throughout the entire church/reception venue. Our personal flowers were equally outstanding! She takes time to teach you how to hold your bouquet, makes sure boutonnieres are properly pinned & hair garlands don't fall. If you are looking for something more modern, cutting edge or bohemian, just look at her website and know that those looks she does beautifully as well. Wild Rose Events is about YOU and what you want on your special day. They will guide you though & help you achieve your vision. For instance, if walls of orchids are out of your budget, she will help you create that feeling with other options. Domonie has decades of experience in the wedding industry and it shows. She knows how to work with churches/all venues (many rules within at times), and leaves everything in outstanding condition after she has cleared the property. When my wedding planners dropped the ball on multiple occasions the day of my wedding. It was Domonie who stepped up. It wasn't her job to take on the role but she did without even thinking about it. If I could go back and change one aspect of my wedding, it would be to hire her not only to do my floral, but to also to...
