Hannaford — Local services in Rumford

Hannaford is another Great store That we are Lucky to have in our area. Wonderful people, from management to the cashiers, baggers, deli, bakery, and of course The Butchers are always willing to give you a hand or answer any questions you have. The meat is Always Fresh Cut there. "A++" When I can't get out to Naples I definitely buy my meat here. The only complaint I would ever have to say about Hannaford is its prices seem to be a bit higher than other places on a majority of the items I purchase., "Thats Corporate Thoygh" Weekly deals however are Extremely Helpful , Especially the Weekly Meat Deal Prices... Approximately half the normal price of items of the week in the meat department which is Amazing savings. Pork chops for $1.99 lb. Beef tips at about $3.99-$4.99 lb. Normally $9.99 lb. Etc.. The store itself is great. Great food and options for the most part considering our location. However, when every employee in the store is closing up shop and covering up for the day at 6pm, when closing is 9pm, you rush customers, and they leave without spending the money they were planning on. Not exactly the best business plan, to run customers out of the store 3 hours before closing, but it’s not my business. Just be aware that you will be rushed and not have access to a lot of food if you’re there within 3 hours of closing. Also, check expiration dates and check produce for mold. On quite a few occasions we have purchased food that had been expired, assuming that a grocer would clear the shelves of rotting, moldy, or otherwise...

This is the second time I have the worst experience with the bakery. The first time they forgot about my daughter’s 1st birthday cake That I had ordered a week in advance. Then when they went to put a last-minute cake together for her they wrote the number backwards and mis spelled two words on the cake. This second time I put in a cake order for my other daughters 9th Birthday, three days in advance and they call me and tell me they have nothing written down on the paper that the girl was supposed to do. I had to leave work and take a 35 minute drive over there to figure out what was going on. This is definitely the last time I will be going to their bakery for any cakes, especially...
