Hoodwinked — Local services in Mexico

I was going to be back in Mexico for my mom's wedding and wanted to do something fun as a family that we'd never done before. I'd heard a lot about escape rooms, so I thought we'd give it a shot. First thing, scheduling was a breeze and I was able to pay my invoice ahead of time via email (fabulous for someone who lives out of state).

Upon arrival, the owners (I'm sorry that I cannot remember your names) greeted us and gave us a FANTASTIC overview of what to expect from escape rooms in general as well as this particular room - The Dojo. Their pre-room speech/pep-talk was a huge help.

The room itself was beautifully done and the puzzles were the perfect difficultly level for first-timers (they were pretty hard, but nowhere near unsolvable for inexperienced people). We had a blast searching the room and putting everything together. When we requested hints, they were super helpful without giving the answer away. Lastly, due to having 6 adults and 1 kid solving the room together, I didn't get to see all the puzzles that were solved (and how). So, I feel that I could tackle The Dojo again and will still have a great time and it'll still be a challenge.

Bottom line, this entire experience was a blast and we haven't stopped talking about it. The owners have clearly put a lot of time and passion behind crafting this room and it shows! I can't wait to see what other rooms they create...

This is one of the top escape rooms our group has played. It is obvious the care and enthusiasm used to create the room. Our group loved the flow of the puzzles, the immersive experience, and the storytelling elements which brought the game together. This was also our first experience playing a room that wasn’t timed. We loved it, and it helped make the experience feel even more immersive. Talking with the owners after our game was also so fun, and we discovered they had designed some of our group’s favorite rooms at other escape room businesses as well. The only negative is we now have to wait to play another of their games, as they go all out crafting one room at a time. I’d highly recommend this room to anyone, especially to enthusiasts! We can’t wait to see what Hoodwinked...

Absolutely loved our experience at Hoodwinked! From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome — they were so kind, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about what they do. After we finished the room, they even took the time to walk us through the story and puzzles, which really added to the experience and helped tie everything together.

The escape room itself was fantastic — the puzzles were clever, engaging, and just the right amount of challenging. Every solution felt satisfying and well thought out. The setting was also beautifully done — the decor and attention to detail really immersed us in the world. It was clear that a lot of care and creativity went into designing this room.
