Green Valley Lake — Local services in Running Springs

Green Valley Lake is a hidden gem located between Arrowhead Lake and Big Bear. My visit was during the winter months. This place is a winter wonderland. If you want to avoid the traffic and crowds of Big Bear I recommend GVL. You wont get the ski reports and left but what you go get is a small town with all the small town charm. An interesting diversion on the way to Big Bear lake is this small but beautiful Green Valley Lake that provides fishing opportunities and also boating besides just hiking around the lake and even some swimming. The only drawback is that the lake is all green owing to algae, and it does smell in certain corners. Nice little teeny private lake. Usually well stocked. Rent boats, fish, swim (fees).
