Tied for first place with the circle in Dickson City PA, it's the best flea market within 75 miles of Scranton Pennsylvania! Whether you're going to buy or sell, or eat, it's vegetables and produce, antiques, or homemade goods, it's all there and at perfect prices considering today's economy. Doing it correctly, they have plenty of near brand new trash cans throughout the grounds that the place is incredibly clean. only an absolute disgrace to society would litter at this place.. those that know my reviews, know that I do not give five stars unless it is absolutely 100% perfect. that being said, I give this blessing to PA 4.7 stars. minus .2 for the cleanliness of the interior bathrooms. however I want to note there was a bathroom attendant doing the very best he could considering he was outnumbered by a thousand of societies finest card carrying members of the not my job committee and we all know what a great job they do at making good people work . And minus .1 for the disrespectful behavior of someone next to one of the managers that I could only describe as a pretendavisor-(guilt by association, my apologies but you are the company you keep) As for those in charge, Susie and the gentlemen who were with her, FIVE STARS!!!, polite, professional, personable, understanding, patient, and above all, compassionate. The fact that it's an hour drive from Wilkes-Barre means absolutely nothing to me except that Sadly I don't have time to go there every single week just to try something new and delicious to eat the food is better than any fair or Carnival and priced below to boot there has to be a hundred different things to eat my personal favorite is the handmade Amish ham and cheese pretzel rolls three for five bucks, if I had the time to wait I would order 100 of them take them home and freeze them. In closing if you don't have anything to do and have the option to go there you'd be a fool not to I can't even think of how one could be disappointed out of the 12 hours I spent there and the probably 2000 people shopping there was only one person whose parents should probably be slapped. Overall I highly recommend an afternoon in hometown even if you went there with only $5 whatever you spent it on would not be a...
Read moreI counted this place for years, but it's gone downhill. You don't have a lot of the little farmers bringing stuff straight from their farms anymore. You have all these people trying to make a buck just Bringing in stuff that would go right to the supermarkets. Some items still have ready for the store labels on them. Last three trips i've had veggies or fruit that was very spoiled and the various stands won't let you dig through the bags or the baskets. This time out of eight sweet potatoes six of them were rotting with visible mold in spots. I took pictures but I doubt if the vendors will still be there or care. These are the vendors that are the far end of the covered produce area sticking out at the end.Last time it was the cucumbers at the vendor in the center. They've been there forever. The top ones were good and the bottom ones were all mushy. Before that it was rotted grapes and cherries in the bags. This was always a fire beware situation , but the stuff has gotten really dire. There's a lot of stands. With trinkets and things that you don't really need but are fun to look at. The vendors inside the buildings are usually pretty good. Most have been there a long time. Some are new , especially the upper building , where the amish have taken over...
Read moreNever thought I d see these prices be higher than Walmart. I use to have to make 3 trips to the car for how much I buy. Now I left with an Avacados watermelon and some berrys only because I drove 45 minutes and didn’t wanna leave with nothing. The products that were offered for sale had the same name Driscoll On the berries as Walmart the only differences, they were packed in an unsanitary U-Haul truck and were more money. I use my Walmart app and scan the products. Most people like me work during the day and during the week and never get to go on a Wednesday. My heart hurts and I’m very sad that I used to enjoy going to places like this. I could not find anything cheaper and I couldn’t even convince myself that it was a better product because it was in the same package as I would find in the grocery store so you can’t use the excuse that it’s better The good thing I could still say about this is the Amish are still there selling their goodies for as long as this place is around. It was sort of entertaining that there are no benches for the old people who are retired and don’t have to go to work and attend this event , there’s no place to sit down and the one or two benches that there are everybody’s...
