Garrett's Country Mart — Local services in Sabetha

The people are absolutely wonderful. I have no problem with that, but what I do have a problem with is that there prices are outrageous. For a gallon of milk it's over $4.00, for a bag of halo's over $6.00, and for a whole chicken over $9.00 i had to catch my breath. Where i come from a gal of milk is less than $2.00, for a bag of halo's you pay about $3.00 and a whole chicken $5.50. This is a small town with alot of older people that have set incomes so in my opinion this market is way over priced. I ended up spending $326.00. If i had a car i would of paid 1/2 of that, but i guess thats the price i have to pay for living in a small town without a vehicle. I know i can't afford to shop there anymore unless they lower...

It feels charming. The inside has a nice homey look to it, much more aesthetically pleasing than my local grocery store. I've been looking for gouda cheese to gift my dad this Christmas. After looking on their website, I called ahead and the staff was helpful and friendly. Thrilled to find that Garrett's Country Mart has not just one but four different kinds of gouda including bacon, apple smoked, and bourbon. 95% of my food items purchased here! I've never had a bad watermelon or poor meat in all the 7&1/2 years I've shopped here. Colorado Peaches available by the case if you talk to the produce manager Marty. Hudson Cream Flour all purpose unbleached also available by the case if you do lots of baking.
