Autumn Day Trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park

This is a good park for family and pets. I took my two golden retrievers, they had a great time walking in the trails. Be aware if you have big dogs that pull a lot, make sure to be very careful walking downhills, they are deep and slippery. However, the trails aren’t difficult for adults or kids. The falls are beautiful, good scenery for picture and to enjoy the view, but get closer to the falls, you will have to go down the stairs. According to other reviews, you can get even closer to the falls during warmer times. There is a small picnic area near to the waterfalls, but also several picnic table at the entrance of the park. The restroom are located near the parking lot. There is also a stream, good for kids and dogs to play. Overall, is a good outdoor place to enjoy with the family and pets.

Easy to access boardwalk, beautiful falls! You must stay on the trail though.

Brandywine Falls is one of Ohio’s most beautiful and accessible natural attractions. This 65-foot waterfall cascades over layered shale and sandstone, creating a dramatic and photogenic drop surrounded by lush forest. The boardwalk trail is short and easy, offering both upper and lower viewing platforms with incredible views — especially striking after rain or during fall foliage.

It’s a peaceful spot that still manages to impress with its size and sound. The nearby trails connect to longer hikes if you’re feeling adventurous, but even a quick stop is rewarding. Parking can fill up on busy days, but it’s worth the wait.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, Brandywine Falls is a must-see for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who wants a breath...

When given the opportunity to visit the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest, Brandywine Falls is a must see stop. The boardwalk trails to the falls are easily accessible from the park entrance and have been well maintained. About halfway down the trail toward the falls you can choose which set of steps to take to see the falls from near the bottom, in the middle or from the top. I would suggest all 3 during a visit. While enjoying the view of the 60 foot falls and the sounds of the rushing water, don't forget to stop and take a moment to read about the historic site and village surrounding the falls, the history adds to the feeling of nostalgia one can garner...
